Outkast to Release Album in 2012!?


Taken on July 4th.

HipHopWired is reporting that both Andre 3000 and Big Boi are planning on releasing solo albums before the end of the year; then hitting us with a brand new Outkast album in 2012.

Outkast is on track to release a new album by early next year. Both Dre and Big are working on solo projects; they want those out by the end of 2011.

I know, I know.. we’ve been hearing shit like this since Idlewild and all were getting now is a quote from a “rock solid industry source” but damn.. I really hope this shit happens. #bestduoever

  31. Outkast is the greatest DUO ever, nobody, no group, no collaborations can fuck with anything they have put out. Everything that they have ever released together has went platinum and once they went diamond. No other rap duo has did that and in this era of downloading music, it seems as if that fact will forever stand. No comparison, no discussion, nothing can be said about their status of the best duo ever, their work speaks for itself.

  33. OutKast is by far the #bestduoever . Seems like after they split the shallow southern music started popping. They’re also one of the most creative, innovative duos ever in music. Way ahead of their time if you ask me. I miss their sound from ATLIENS, Aquemini, Stankonia though.

    Respect all the other duos, but the level of quality & consistency in their albums is unmatched.

  38. Wasn’t Jive pulling some bullshit to make sure Dre3k couldnt be on SLLF? So I kinda doubt this unless their label situations have changed… but of course I’d desperately love for it to be true. Outkast is the best rap group ever, and I seriously thought that was kinda unanimous. Scratch that, actually- Outkast is one of the best groups (of any genre) ever.
