The Cool Kids On Working w/ Pharrell (Video)

In this third and final installment of The Cool Kids’ video series, Chuck and Mikey take a break from their recording session in Miami to sit down and discuss their collaboration with Pharrell Williams on their highly anticipated, upcoming album When Fish Ride Bicycles. The guys have always looked up to Pharrell and say that it was a dream come true to be able to work with him. The three of them ended up knocking out a hot future single off the album Summer Jam (featuring Maxine Ashley). When Fish Ride Bicycles is available exclusively on iTunes on July 12th, 2011.

Since I’m not really a fan of Green Label Sounds’ embed player, I’ve included it after the jump.

  1. p is rockin the drug rug, swag

  2. That beat sounds like it could be something ill. If The Cool Kids got someone like Ludacris on a track like that it would be all over the radio.

Probably won’t happen though. I’d personally prefer if they got Spitta on that instrumental, or better yet an All City Chess Club line-up.

  3. Drug rugs are on some 09 shit I was disappointed to see him in one. Red why would The Cool Kids take a dope beat and put Luda on it? This album has been a long time coming. I hope it can stand up to The Bake Sale.

  4. I was trying to think of someone mainstream. Ludacris just sounded like he would go in on a beat like this (and I’m not even a big fan of his).
I just think with a beat this big, someone big should do a feature on it so The Cool Kids get on the map. They have such a defined style though, its difficult for me to think of a single mainstream artist that could be paired with them.

  5. dude pharrel just trying to stay hot. he’s always takin pics with these up and coming acts. Pac Div, these guys, odd future. Make hot music man..havent heard anything bangin from u since the intro to hell hath no fury, son!
