1st off happy birthday to me, Im 28 today born june 25th 1983. 2nd Masta Ace is one of my favourite MC’s of al time and A long Hot Summer is the Best Album I have ever listened too.
Wow EXACTLY what he said I went through when I was younger with my best friend, I use to sleep over at his house over the weekends playing street fighter 2 mario cart etc on his super nintendo, those were the innocent days. Then as we got older he started to get into his small crimes of steeling bikes with his new crew. I made the decision to not get involved even though I felt left out, he was rocking the lastest Vasace, Armani, Ice Berg and Moschino clothes while my mum refused to buy by Nikes instead buying 2 pairs of no name trainers for the same price.
They use to call me noname trainers in school and the girls didnt give me much air play, but that was the best thing that happened to me cause it allowed me to focus on school and not get side tracked by girls.
Later on my friend went to prison for armed robbery and I went to university.
I am from the U.K (but Afro Caribbean), but now writing this from my apartment in Switzerland where i work for the 2nd largest private oil commodity trader in the world. Like Masta Ace, if I followed my friend I will not be here writing about my experience.
Anyway im off to bed as I have to catch the plane back to the U.K to celibrate my birthday over the weekend.
