Fire. Dude has been spamming my TL on twitter for ages, only just now checking recently due to the co-sign from 2dbz, good stuff, great video for the budget he probably didn’t have
This shit is banging!!! True talent! go head and hate hater. this is the truth!! real talent real song writing and no autotune BS Real Skills, its not an attempt at chart success alone, this is true ART AND EXPRESSION!! YES!
Jay’s a real trill down to earth cat. One of the dopest, most humble, hardworking cats I know. His solo debut “of gods and girls” is a modern classic in every sense of the word and everything he’s dropped since then’s been quality music. Glad to see 2dopeboyz showin’ the dude some love.
I wasn’t blown away by the video, but Mr J. is just amazing. Any one who doesn’t recognize that he has some sick flow and lyrics doesn’t know hip-hop. Anyone who doesn’t know his struggle and dedication should read his Wikipedia page
I absolutely hated “Nothing Without Providence”. Way to top 40 sounding for my taste but this joint is pretty ill. I ain’t really feeling the chorus part, it drags the song down in my opinion. I was going pass on the album but I’ll give the new album a listen. It may not be as good as God & Girls but I’m sure I’ll find a couple of good joints to listen to.
@dbl You are entitled to your opinion and if you do not like the song that is one thing. But how can you assume the intention of the song or the artist creating that song. Tell us why you don’t like the song. Delivery? Lyrics? Hook? Production? For me, this is close to a perfect song. The track selection fits the song concept perfectly. The metaphor of the girl/situation as a neon sign is original and clever. The imagery is beautifully descriptive, allowing me to place myself in the narrator’s shoes and connect with the artist. Saudade is a great record and I encourage people to check it out.
@Hamza21 this album kills his “of gods and girls” album. fuck “friends enemies” killed his “of gods and girls” album. i dig your blog but saying “nothing without providence” was an aim at being top 40 is fucking laughable. not a single song sounds like that period let alone anything on the top 40. domeshots.
holy shit! this is the perfect example of a desperate try to get a hit single. fucking wack!
Beat sounds like Tabi Boney – Hero flipped
hmmmm one negative comment, 21 thumbs ups, 3 down? seems like not too many share that sentiment.

Fucking incredible artist.
Video was done on 500 dollarz. Twitter newz.
@dbl that is probably one of the most stupider suggestions one could make from watching this video.

@hamza 21, if more artists like mr. j medeiros were on the radio i’d be much happier
