While J cole has had more then 100 looks to gain a huge buzz. The truth is if Any rapper was promoted for the same amount of time and the same level as J cole , they would blow up. J cole was on a 30 minute show all about him called Rising Stars on BET back in 09 my nigga. This nigga has been on every hip hop site every week for 2 years and the truth is after he drops he’ll still need Jayz to hold down his position cause aint no way he gon pass people like Drake and Ross on the same stage.
Or even Wiz for that matter and I no people will disagree but the truth is the truth. Wrong. Cole signed in 2008, he dropped Warm Up summer of 2009. So he’s been buzzing for under 2 years. but with all his hype and buzz he should have at least had a few singles out by now for an album.
he actually signed in early 2009..he was damn near done with “the warm up” when he got signed..he says it at the end of last call…and one thinf that yall fail to realize is that cole, was working backwards in a sense..99.9% of rappers dont get a deal until that have a buzz.. Cole got a deal the old fashion way..simply by word of mouth through label heads..he had no buzz what so ever so he had to work from the ground up
