Sketch – Virginia Tech 9 (Video)

Along with Meka, I’m a big supporter of the DMV movement, however, within the last couple of years, I sort of lost touch with that whole scene – mainly due to life-altering events. One after another at that. Recently I reached back out to Rob (y’all may know him as Lyriciss). Truly to good to hear from that brother, and since then, he’s hipped me to some game on some new artists who are making noise out of the DC Maryland Virginia area. Sketch hails from Northern VA and is a part of the illustrious Inner Loop Records camp. The video above was produced by J-Scrilla, the song below features Nipsey Hussle and also features production from J-Scrilla.

  11. I just got wind of this from Betaraz Entertainment that throws DMV Showcase at ICON Lounges in Fairfax, Va. I actually hit up Sketch via facebook and the song is in rotation now on my LIVE365.com station. Its doing well. Song is really Hip Hop no radio love here. Just real stuff with good scratching and sampling. Bravo!
