Damu the Fudgemunk – Brooklyn Flower

Yet another one from Slice-of-Spice which I really slept on. It was released last year but this beat is just too good to not post. Seriously. One of the best instrumentals I’ve heard in awhile. Damu was enlisted to custom construct this from samples chosen by the owner of Slice-of-Spice (celebrating the birth of his new born daughter), including Ramsey Lewis as well as Minnie Riperton’s versions of Les Fleur. It was never meant for commercial release, however Slice and Re:Def Records eventually decided to put it out in limited quantities. Not too sure where one can purchase a copy these days, but it’s definitely worth it’s weight in gold. Good luck.
