Drake – Dreams Money Can Buy

Drake himself let this go at his homestand with the following message:

A song that I felt the need to share. Not my single. Just a piece of my story. Hear me out though.

So, it’s only a matter of time before it gets yanked off the nets by his label. Gets to snatching!

  1. Took so long to post this I had started wondering if u guys were blackballing Drake too.

  2. Thank You Good Sir

  3. @Person hah i thought the same.

Drake just tweeted: “Hov diss? Hov of all people has not lost it…that’s god body flow.”

I though it was shots fired….guess not!

    Fire From Drizzy.

  4. This is so fucking dope to me. I hope this is the kinda thing I can expect from the album.

  5. I thought this would be better considering the title. I’m sick of Drake singing mid verse too

  6. I actually like this and i aint even a fan of drake…but this gets a thumbs up from me

  7. Listening to this, I can’t help but wonder how different Drake would sound if he didn’t sign with Young Money… think about it

  8. Same here. Not a fan, but I like this.

  9. 40 is getting better and better. Niccceee

  10. Yeah, really not a drake fan, but dope music is dope music regardless of who makes it. I still could live without him singing though, but this gets a DL

  11. fyi… the original beat before the refreak is a track by JAI PAUL! dig this track!

  12. Can’t say that I like him sampling Jai Paul…seems a little forced for the “indie” rep. Reaching for his So Far Gone, Lykke Li/PB&J Credentials

    Do like the song though

  13. Drake, him or love him……he’s a good rapper.

  14. ***Hate him or love him..he’s a good rapper..

  15. middle thumbs up 4 deezy. whack

  16. Beat thumbs up. Rhymes thumbs down. But I’ll give it another listen. Maybe I’ll change my mind.

  17. man drake still got it..im happy 2day…been wantin 2 chat wit my bfriend in army, but couldn’t afford a laptop..this site email me a coupon & i picked it up 1 no cost sameday.. http://ow.ly/4ZdA8

  18. DONT FUCK WITH ME DONT FUCK WITH ME

  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0NMqJybKhA

  20. should have another verse

  21. a lot better than what he’s been putting out for awhile, the singing is still annoying though… one things for sure wheelchair jimmy knows how to pick dope beats

  22. yesterday i found out my girl of 4 years was cheating on me.. could not sleep to save my life.. idk where to go from here. music use to be an escape, but when every song reminds me of her, i have become lost.

  23. BasedGod fucked your bitch?

  24. where can i find this beat at ??!!!

  25. DEAD @pros2ill
Why the hell are you spilling your feelings over a chick, She was with you for four years! Man by year one that hoe was gobblin and letting niggas bust on her in your crib. Nigga prolly asked her “Why is all the food gone when I come home from work?”

  26. this is when drake is at his best; when you can feel the heartfelt truth in his voice

  27. Drake and 40…two jews trynna take over the game….FOH. Jews trynna take over the game cuz they got money. Fuck that.

  28. This was real good until he started singing, it spoilt the whole vibe of the song.

  29. This reminds me of So Far Gone Drake, not Thank Me Later Drake. The sample is dope and I’m starting to like Drake again. Hopefully Take Care has more songs like this and I’m On One.

  30. I LOVE IT !!

cole’s gonna have to step his game up..

  31. Listening to this, I can’t help but wonder how different Drake would sound if he didn’t sign with Young Money… think about it

^^^^ This, Not a drake fan but if he wasnt with YM ppl would respect him more.

  32. This cool shit.

  33. Beat is dope as shit…..MIIIGHT have to give the lyrics a listen again tho.

  34. does anyone know how good drake use to be? check out the songs goodnight and goodluck, comeback season, his barry bonds freestyle, beautiful music, can’t hide, his still d.r.e freestyle, and right to left… and try to tell me with a straight face he’s been getting better over the years

this songs alright, but damn drake use to be able to rip a mic up before he blew up.. thats a fact

  35. Ain’t nobody seeing DRAKE right now….Best Song Writer we have seen since the 03 FIFTY.

  36. @Backspace , when a artists reaches Drakes level he doesnt have to rip songs because to alot of people over rapping on a beat doesnt sound good. Drake did his thing on this one so thats 2 songs he dropped this year that are dope so far.

  37. Wheres TYLER DA CREATORS FUCKKKIN POSTS AT?!!!

  38. too fuckin busy, too busy fuckin <3

  39. @pro2ill sorry my man, she told me she had some kind of lame dude. didn’t mean to fuck up those sheets though…

  40. dope

  41. This right here goes hard ! I like this !

  42. that Young Money shit is a point to ponder. nothing young money sounds like this. and this is fucking crack

  43. @Marty Mcfly “he doesnt have to rip songs because to alot of people over rapping on a beat doesnt sound good.” you might wannt to make your sentences a little more coherent before you engage in a argument, whatever your point may be, drake is labeled a RAPPER i know he does rnb, sings in all his songs and shit, but hes known as a RAPPER and his RAPS have been decreasing over the years, and it just confuses the shit out of me how rappers can start off so good without anyone knowing who they are, and once they get big they can just write super simple rhymes with elementary flows and get labeled as “the best in the game”

and im not talking about this particular song, cause this is dope, but most of drakes songs after he’s gotten rich and famous have been pretty close to garbage.

  44. @RIKO why ask that when you know 2dopeboyz don’t play Tyler’s music, and Tyler fuckin sucks and i heard his album sucked as well, Odd Future is overrated, Earl Sweatshirt and Frank Ocean >>> OFWGKTA #fact

  45. soooooooooooooo ummm doesnt hard work buy dreams?

    more materialistic bullshit

  46. @ Timothy Go cry about it somewhere else.

  47. soooooooooo sick !!!

  48. @OrdinaryCelo is it not the truth?

this song doesnt make any fucking sense how does
    money buy dreams?

where do you think how you get the money in the first
place oh thats right HARD WORK & PROGRESSION

but then again yall dont listen to lyrics anyways

  49. @ Timothy I care about lyrics and hard work. But guess what? ITS A SONG! Is anyone saying for you to disregard hard work? Nope. In other words, go cry somewhere else. Your taking things too seriousl.

  50. *seriously

  51. @Backspace I feel the same to an extent. He’s definitely a good song writer but he does go off on tracks like he use to when it’s called for. Nowadays rappers don’t even get to make it big before they fall off eg. Pac Div. I was listening to CLC and some of their old shit (Women Problems, Taste etc) and they used to spit with so much passion but now it’s all swag shit.

@B-Line Personally I think Kendrick Lamar is a better writer than him but that’s just my opinion.

  52. I meant to say alot of people THINK over rapping a beat doesnt sound good. By that I mean Drake doesnt have to focus on destroying a beat lyrically because hes more focused on making statements. Some people focus on lyrical acrobatics and thats cool cause thats hip hop but some people focus on if the overall song sounds good or not. Drake is good at making a complete song and not so much focused on lyrically killing the beat. Drake cant be falling off to much cause he just showed up like 2 years ago.

  53. @El Oh El You fail because Earl and Frank are part of OFWGKTA. So you’re saying they’re better than themselves…? And you would’ve never heard of Earl if it wasn’t for Tyler’s beats so you fail again.

  54. @OrdinaryCelo This is what your not getting BULLSHIT like this doesn’t give people any solutions to inspire them to work hard for what they can discover in life.

but then again your a sheep & will continue to support
bullshit fairy tale music you call hip hop that continue’s to keep people separated & corrupted.

    #OWNED

  55. @LA supreme
you are a faggot. oh, im sorry a Jew made a nice song; fucking hater.

  56. drake needs to be left in the past. dude’s style got old fast and he’s always crying about how hard his life is and yaddayada, dude’s one of the most egotistical douchebags in the industry.

  57. @Timothy Your not a prophet, stop trying to lead. Did Nas always preach about inspiring youth and preach about hard work and livin right on every song? Hell no. Has Lupe Fiasco always preached about being politically in every one of his songs? Shit, half his songs are about underground fashion. Is every single one of Common’s tracks an “I Miss H.E.R”? Hip Hop wasn’t made to give you solutions, its MUSIC. And whats the prime use for music? To make you feel good. Im not brainwashed, its simple, the song is dope. No other motive. Simple. Now, once again. Go cry about it somewhere else.

  58. Listening to this, I can’t help but wonder how different Drake would sound if he didn’t sign with Young Money… think about it

    ^^^^^^THIS x 100.
    ….damn young money bullshit
if i were drake i would be embarrassed to say shit like YMCMB or to shout out birdman’s lame ass.
    meh. oh well
    this songs aight

  59. Better than every song on TML besides Light Up. ANd maybe Show me a good time

  60. @rmpwolf

I would have to disagree, Drake makes music that transcends rap. He is in fact the total package. His melody/hooks/flow/wordplay/his voice and how he fluctuates it at peak times is un-parralled. All those aforementioned elements coupled with they chemistry that him and 40 have leads to well crafted music. Kendrick is not even close but, I understand your thinking Lamar can do some of those things. I just believe he can’t do them as well as Drake *at this moment*. If anyone needs proof just listen to I’m On One .

  61. You sound like a douche timothy. Just thought you should know..since ya know..ur a douche n all.

  62. shots thrown…. But I like. This music game needs a good rivalry, just one without fatal consequences.

  63. DOWNLOAD BROKE BROTHA http://hulkshare.com/yg4oy93t14nb

  64. not bad, not good… over 700 thumbs up? dont think so

  65. is this song even DE BATEABLE..this shit bangin’..END OF STORY

  66. This is dope. Not I Drake fan. But this is dope.

  67. regardless if you love, hate, despise, or dickride drake…this track is solid

  68. I’m a fan of Drake and I really like this song. I hope there’s more like it on Take Care.

“Don’t fuck with me, don’t fuck with me…”

  69. Track is alright, but corny as fuck. Drake did buy his dream…

  70. ^^^ Money cant write his rhymes.

  71. Yeah this shit is nice. Drake was killing songs from 06-09 lyrically but then he started slacking a bit. He only went hard on a couple joints last year. I hope Take Care is more So Far Gone/Comeback Season. No offense to Thank Me Later, it was an alright album.

  72. This song goes hard, you niggas seem to forget that Drake is a good ass rapper, after this and I’m On One I think his albums gonna be a problem

  73. I agree that his life would have took a whole different path if he wouldnt have signed with Young Money. Dope song, but it can’t compare to Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole. He still my favortie rapper and seem like he getting back to that Comeback Season So far gone rappper.

  74. this shit sounds like the old/pre-young money drake. how times change…smh

  75. 1000

  76. this one look like FEIST’s – HONEY HONEY song

    canadian connexion !!

  77. dope

  78. Jai Paul is nice son. Glad Drake is giving his music some exposure.

  79. The arrogant/sensitive/misunderstood juxtaposition in hip-hop is lame. In fact, it’s lame anytime. Everybody eats and everybody shits.

  80. First Diss Track!!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQMNYXK-vpo

  81. Has anyone else noticed how Drake is releasing shit just to try and shit on J. cole?! why all of a sudden is he releasing songs left and right, knowing that cole is about to drop his single next week… dude is scared.

  82. Only homos argue over this faggot.

  83. lol j cole will do good regardless of drake. they are bothe great rappers .

  84. Releasing a song and a feature is releasing songs “left and right”?

  85. lol j cole will do good regardless of drake. they are bothe great rappers .

  86. Drake gave Cole plenty of time to get hot , I guess Drake got tired of hearing music thats not really that good so he just put some out his self.

  87. BUT Cole specifically said the Summer is mine. then there goes drake blocking.. damn let him get his shine. In I’m on one Drake specifically targets Cole with “But get it while you here boy
Cause all that hype don’t feel the same next year boy
Yeah and I’ll be right here in my spot with a little more cash than I already got
Trippin off you cause you had your shot”
So Drake knows what he is doing, and he is doing it on purpose. SMH.

  88. The summer doesnt belong to anybody just because they claim it. The only thing Cole has to do is put out music thats better then Drakes. You cant expect Drake to not promote his own music just so another nigga can eat. J cole is dope but he has had more chances to blow up then any artists I have ever seen. Drake did his first album in 5 months because he wanted it bad enough that he couldnt keep the people waiting. Again , just make better music then Drake 1st and then he can claim the summer.

  89. Really though? You foos need a reality punch to all areas of the cranium.

  90. Man this is Great im Glad to see niggas getting back to the essence of this hip hop shit… soul samples and great hard deep lyrics… PPL Like Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Drake, Ab-Soul, XV, Dom Kennedy , Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa( before Rolling Papers),Big K.R.I.T., Wale… The list keeps getting deeper with these quality rappers. Its back yall hopefully its stays!!

  91. FOR ALL U IGNORANT USA CUNTS!!! CHECK WHERE THE FUCKING SAMPLE COMES FROM. LONDON U MUGS! Jai Paul BTSTU.
Drake + 40 flipped it nice tho.

  92. does anyone know how good drake use to be? check out the songs goodnight and goodluck, comeback season, his barry bonds freestyle, beautiful music, can’t hide, his still d.r.e freestyle, and right to left… and try to tell me with a straight face he’s been getting better over the years
this songs alright, but damn drake use to be able to rip a mic up before he blew up.. thats a fact
    ——————————–
Co-sign. His first 2 mixtapes were damn near classics. In fact everything pre-TML was on point. How quickly ppl forget. I cant help but think that the same ppl criticizing Drake were his biggest fans before the stardom.

  93. So glad Drake is repping my buddy Jai Paul!! Went to college and did music tech with this guy and now Drake is putting fire on his tracks!! Big up Rayners Lane!!

  94. “Listening to this, I can’t help but wonder how different Drake would sound if he didn’t sign with Young Money… think about it”

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^REAL TALK… i fucked wit Comeback Season… after that, nah… but this track aint bad… i mean, i liked it til he started singin bout halfway thru

  95. WHAT! Drake actually made a good song! I was loving it till this nigga started singing. Leave that shit to RnB niggas and RnB songs. These RnB rap niggas, these sing song ja rule niggas suck. Other than that, the song is dope now only if he make the album more like this he’ll will get me back as a fan cuz TML was wack. Thats a weak debut album.

  96. ^^^^^TML was a weak album to you people who are all about the underground (which isnt a bad thing)But it was obviously a great album for his mainstreak success. It went double platnium and had like 4 chart topping songs. Let this nigga make his money and shut up.

  97. 1) Yea, kinda wish Drake just kept the Wayne and YM “affiliation” (or management) and signed to another label. Even he said it was just mainly to make it easier to collab with Young Money. But look at Kanye now; back in ’04 he was rocking Mitchell & Ness jerseys with Roc-a-fella. True artists always grow.

    2) Are we just oblivious to the Drake x J. Cole single/video/tour performance of “In the Morning”? Vegetarian friendship: NO BEEF between ‘em…CMON SON

Plus they both started getting shine around the same time(Blueprint 3 w/ “A Star is Born” and So Far Gone EP were released a week apart in 2009) If there are some shots being sent in the “I’m on one” verse they would be at a guy like Wiz Khalifa who blew up this year and rejected the offer to tour with Drake in the pre-Black and Yellow days

  98. they both throw shots at each other. coded lyrics is what hip hop is about. LISTEN.

  99. “We talked music for hours she never mentioned ya
Can’t tell you how much I love when niggas think they got it
And I love the fact that line made ‘em think about it”

    Shots to J Cole

“these niggas make it so hard to be friendly when I know part of it’s envy”

    More Shots

“Ohh, I never seen the car you claim to drive
Shit I seen it, you just aint inside
And I feel like lately I went from top 5 to remaining 5
My favourite rappers either lost it or they aint alive”

Shots to J Cole, Wale, Cudi etc

These guys fell off… Drake is on top right now regardless of how weak his music is.

  100. Niggas always quoting that Top 5 line wrong. Dudes need to stop relying on lyric sites and use their ears more. Drake said “And lately I feel like *it* went from top 5 to remaining 5″ Not I went from top 5 to remaining 5.

  101. Peep the sample

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvEtQSdIYyg

    Jai Paul BTSTU

    UK SHIT Boyyyyy

The beat goes harder in the original but obv 40 toned it down for the lyrics to stand out…

  102. song is dope and yall niggas mad cuz he doing things yall not

  103. This track is sweet. If drake hadnt signed with YM i think we’d see a lot more of this. too bad

  104. This track is sweet.
