  1. love nas man, real dude

  2. im glad this guy recognizes those new guys. not too many old rappers give them a chance. goes the same for a lot of the fans. lets hope these guys can carry on hip hop like the ones before them

  3. Nast yNas I can’t wait, but in the meaanwhile go check out sum real fuckin Hip-Hop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn8-kA0JdLA thank me later!

  4. Lol at this nigga Nas being inspired by Wayne, Odd Future and Drake i dont know wat to say about this

  5. Let’s just hope he doesn’t get Drakes sorry ass on it to ruin the whole fucking thing.

  6. I swear man some fans read WAYYYYY too deep into somethings…So what if he is inspired by Drake, Wayne or Odd Future…I’m not a big Wayne fan, but fuck what u heard…the kid has the game on smash right now! Same with Drake, same with Ross…Clearly they are doing something right…And Nas is a legend and a vet..he understands what time it is…He knows the fans want an amazing album from him with great production, solid collabos to go along with his talent and grade A lyricism…Be Patient

  7. GOAT

  8. GOAT who is inspired by garbage is not good

Garbage should be inpired bye the GOAT

  9. Tomorrow – Nas cancels new album, cites laziness issues I mean label issues.

  10. How is it that the earlier people would mention a rapper when referring to ‘real hip-hop’ the more bullshit their list of favourite rappers at the time is?

  11. Man nas is my favorite rapper of all time. Just let wayne and drake be on the single with prodruction by 40 or so. He should put kendrcik on that album though. A tyler future would not be bad alsoooo

  12. I kinda wanna expect a classic but I don’t want my hopes too high so that I’ll feel disappointed if he doesn’t deliver.
He accepted that he had some missteps on Untitled
But he wants too try something new

Right thinking but hope his ‘experimenting’ doesn’t deliver like 808s

  13. lol u ppl expect too much nas been doing it since the 90s bascially 2 decades of rhymes, about 13 albums incl firm album etc…and thats excluding leaks etc..dude has given us illmatic..let the man rest i dont expect anything to really top that cos its just hard to..hes not the same person the world isnt the same hell even the machinery isnt the same anymore..ill just listen to all his stuff i like thats already out..and if he brings another “classic” great..if not…ive got more than enuff to hold me over till i die.

  14. his inspiration for creating another album totally says its going to be shitty as hell…..fuck him

  15. @hakz75

calm down nigga NAS is one of the GOATS

  16. Ironically, I continue to feel that the last album pretty much transcends his prior body of work. A lot of layers and depth which, seemed to be missed by much of the public. [shrug]

  17. nas said he’s feelin those guys cuz he has to, they are some of the most popular and nas is part of a big time label. i wouldn’t expect them on the album, hopefully. and nas saying he’s gotta do something “new” is a good thing for hiphop

  18. nas,
how about elzhi, reks, term, or saigon for guest appearance? these dudes are you when you were younger except the game is fucked now. or the legends az, rakim, talib. real dudes need to collab. make a classic, you have a following, no need to appeal to new people. i guess im dreamin.

  19. Who is Odd Future Meka? Never heard of these guys that Nas is referring to… someone help me out I just got outta prison and have no idea who Odd Future is.

  20. does midnight club l.a spring to anyone elses mind when they hear hero?

  21. Some of you on here are stuck in the 90s. Nas always delivers. It’s insane that anyone would assume his album will be trash because his influences are people who you dont care for. That in no way states the album will have the same types of music.

  22. “how about elzhi, reks, term, or saigon for guest appearance?”

^Cosign those dudes and others are so raw and real wtf is Nas talking about with them mainstream cats?

  23. Look at this dude backtracking from everything he was saying just a couple years ago just because he took some slack. When he came out and said hip hop is dead, he was telling the game to its face what it needed to hear, and instead of being the icon and pioneer that he should be and reenforcing the notion, now he’s pretending he’s in awe of the state of the game. This is weak and disappointing.

I don’t necessarily think hip hop is dead, but it’s definitely plagued right now. But nobody who watched the evolution of the artform could possibly be excited and inspired by where the art has gone, at least at the commercial and street level; although the underground and indy world is still there.

Nas now looks like he has no conviction. Like getting criticized for speaking truth beat him into submission. He was my #1 emcee for at least half my life, but he’s been losing me. I’m surprised I even payed attention to this. That’s how far he’s fallen.

  24. Im glad to see Nas has a vision to put out a cohesive quality album, its been a while

  25. Wheres TYLER DA CREATORS FUCKKKIN POSTS AT?!!!

  26. i hope someone puts him on to Elzhi and/or Reks cuz these guys are pretty big fans from what i understand, and come on Preemo and Nas have been tight since the early 90′s, Prem needs to introduce Reks to him. And give some beats to nas’s next album

  27. GET WITH PREMO AND PETE ROCK!!!!!! THEY ARE WAITING FOR YOU

  28. I like how he respected the new. I really hope he doesn’t collaborate with them though. It doesn’t work for him, it’s not the best material he could come with. He holds his own on records constantly, features with the new “hot” artists have always been sub par because it feels like they aren’t on the same page. Same goes with all music, embrace your age and maturity, you’re not from the same era. Kendrick might seem like a good feature or even Big KRIT it just wouldn’t fit together though. I don’t want to hear Drake, OFWGTKA, on a Nas track either.

  29. ^Nice name..I agree with you though. I can’t see him collaborating with any of them – even though it’s nice to experiment and try new things, trying to write a song with them and appeal to that vibe is meh.
