Last week we opened the flood gates and gave all upcoming artists a chance to be heard. Setting up a new email for y’all to submit new music for us to check out. Our plan is to each choose a new act every two weeks or so, post up a sample song, and let the c-section wolves have at it. I will check this series out every time because JES has an impeccable taste when it comes to hip hop, the other picks were dope too but Meka’s taste is never trustworthy.

Late Bloomers track is smooth. Definitely my type of music. Isaiah the 3rd’s got that easy going flow, definitely a great track, kinda reminded me of the production from Just Begun with Talib & Jay elctronica. BIAS sounds hungry/gritty to me, that’s a good thing, sounds genuine– not that the others didn’t but BIAS just sounds more gritty than them. Very personal track, one of my favorite type of tracks, not sure if I’m crazy about the sample/hook, but it’s good. LOWFI’s ok for me, the hook’s not something I like, but he’s got presence on the mic, sounds like a pro at it. They all good, my favorite though, gotta be Late Bloomers or BIAS. Keep Pushin!

Isaiah the 3rd really stood for me! Dude got the smoothest flow, lyrics on point and great delivery. Beat was cool too. Just checked out his other stuff on soundcloud, he’s got what it takes to go somewhere imo.

I gave a listen to all 3. Good material though they all remind me of other artists, but Late Bloomers in particular stood out. Maybe it’s the group dynamic but I can see where they’re going with their beats. It’s like a hiphop curve ball but it’s that kind of progression I appreciate.

Truthfully I’ve heard a lot of styles Late Bloomers somewhat sound like another group out of the bay area called Pacific Division (PAC DIV) but i do like there soulful appeal and sound Isaiah The 3RD Is ok maybe it was the song in general that didn’t do it for me or his delivery either way the song was decent i wouldn’t mind hearing more of his music B.I.A.S. on the other hand sounds more mature Loved his lyrical content but i was more into the hook than his verses he sounds a bit dull not much feeling into his lyrics the subject was deep just didn’t get that from him Last but not least LowFi coming from a familier place we know called HIP HOP with Afrocentric, Uplifting, Empowering Lyrics His Music embodies a struggle a lot of us can relate to with that being said …..
