“Microphone Fiend”
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Eric B and Rakim’s seminal Paid In Full. On one random, cold and rainy New York evening the 18th Letter was on hand to host the release party for a collaborative tee between himself, West NYC and Milkcrate Athletics, then delighted fans (read: gave today’s hip-hop fan yet another reason to pull out a digital recording device instead of actually watching an enjoying the event) with an impromptu performance. Props to Riggs.

Errrr!!
Not the 25th year anniversary. It dropped in ’87 so it’s the 24th.
i saw him rakim at rock the bells concert shit was amazing dream come true
@stefan, it dropped a little over 24 years, therefore its in its 25th year. basic fucking math
@real deal
it still dropped in ’87, not ’86, so its not the 25th anniversary. and don’t talk that 25th year shit, anniversaries are never talked about like that.
that’s what you call timeless
@Spike
Thank you.
As for 25th year anniversary, it’s cool to reflect though because it was way different times back then. It’s good to think about. But people yap mindlessly about numbers sometimes, that is true.
Nas celebrated the 10th anniversary of Illmatic with an excellent remastered edition. Dramatic improvement in sound, and that’s how you celebrate an anniversary.
