Meth did just turn 40 this month. Meth was the most talented member of Wu when they first broke out, but even though his solo discography doesn’t get as much credit as it deserves, his output outside the clan leaves much to be desired about half the time.
Method Man’s my favorite rapper but I won’t lie.
Never been all the way impressed by his solo work.
Usually his beat choices and hooks let him down.
He usually fails to make cohesive albums.
I wanna believe him so bad but the average as Blackout 2 (with Redman) and that wack ass Wu Massacre album don’t help matters.
I truly hope he has a classic on his hands.
I hope Meth’s album is a classic. He’s always had crazy guest verses but never made a consistent dope solo album. Hopefully the hunger he has to achieve his goal will bring back that rawness he had back in the day.

Somebody needs to tell Meth that when him and Redman talked about weed all the time like 12-15 years ago it was ok, now it just makes them look like losers. 40 year old ppl that have grown and became more successful don’t talk about/care about the same shit they did when they were in their early 20′s. A perfect example is Jay-Z he is the same age and look at the difference in his image and his music. Jay wears suits and nice clothes. Meth and Redman still dress like they did in the 90′s. We all know that one person who never grew up that we all look at as a loser, why should rappers get a pass? If your 40 still dressing and acting the same way you did when you were 20 you are a LOSER.
