During the (unofficial) last night of SXSW, if you weren’t scrapping to try to gain entry into the epic G.O.O.D. Music showcase you were a mile away fighting to try to gain entry into what was easily my favorite (non-2DBz affiliated, of course) showcase of the week, The VIBE House’s 2nd Annual Respect The West Showcase. Highlighted by some of the bubbling artists, like Pac Div, Dom Kennedy and the TDE camp to respected veterans like Sick Jacken, and punctuated by a memorable and heartfelt tribute to Nate Dogg from Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Soopafly, Warren G and a whole heap of weed, I hadn’t been that gassed for a West Coast concert since, well, ever. It definitely made me miss the days of lazily chilling in the warm Cali sun on a breezy spring day. Major props to the Cashmere Agency, VIBE and Stampede Management for putting this show together.
Anyways, you can catch more footage down bottom. I’ll definitely be back here next year.

I was there for this and it truly was an incredible night to remember. Seeing WarrenG, Snoop, Daz, and Kurupt all on stage honoring Nate was incredible. Will never forget that moment
