  1. I can dig this. A good sign cos Zion I have been hit and miss for me since “true & livin”.
Hopefully the rest of the record follows a similar vein.

  2. Zion I as dope as they’ve ever been ! Any delay though ? Didn’t see any release yet, the 22nd is tomorrow !

  3. Im glad hyphy music died out a bit cuz zion i & grouch tried to hard to ride that hyphy train

  4. They never went hyphy. Shits fucking fire!!! Real music, fuck that radio bullshit.

  5. yeah, the closest thing to zion i going hyphy was “the bay” but that song was fiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

amp always comes out with the freshest shit

  6. Thank you shake for continuing to support Zion I. They definitely do not get as much as they deserve. Matter of fact, you continue show love to numerous bay area artists. So yeah, I greatly appreciate that shit.

  7. Lol at the chump who thought Zion I & Grouch went hyphy. He clearly didn’t listen to the last track on their first album.

  8. It’s kinda hard to argue that Amp’s production had some HEAVY Hyphy influences on the last 2 or 3 records. If you disagree then you weren’t listening. Seriously, I liked all their records but there was definitely a distinct hyphy sound on a bunch of those tracks.

  9. I’VE Always fucked with the Grouch’s Bay Area Twang…Zion I + The Grouch is a win

  10. that video is sick!!! dope track too!

  11. I love Zion I..buy why no Grouch love? HE is my favorite underground Emcee ever…This album is amazing and very positive

  12. i don’t think they ever went hyphy, but they made some attempts. didn’t zion i have a hyphy mixtape? then they dropped a track trying to ride the mac dre hype with that post-humous “me and mac dre” track? he also produced that “fast like a nacar” joint and i think some keak and other babyface asssassins shit. amp’s producation is versatile as fuck though, check his “murder at the discoteque” album, it’s got all kinds of electro-trash. and then there’s the last zion i album, “atomic clock” that was kind of wack. but with all shit aside, they’ve more than made up for their mistakes with consistently dope shit. and the new heroes album is part of that.
