I remember a track off Wale’s album where he said “and fuck radio for tellin me to snap dance.” Now, I think Wale is being a hypocrite, he’s saying so much about he keeping it underground and the next thing you know he’s on a “dance” song on the radio, doing songs with Gucci & Wiz Khalifa, as well as signing to Maybach Music. Now, don’t get me wrong I like Wale, but for him to go this far with his “southern” music, I’m afraid that his next album might sound more like “No Hands” than “Beautiful Bliss”. Wale should get any money he can, but I just hope he stays true to the music he made pre-”No Hands”.

  18. you can’t judge an artist off his features though. thats like sayin when Jay was on the Mya remix and the Juve Ha remix that his albums were gonna some how sound the same and that never happened. when an artist ask for you to be on his song, the song is usually that artist’s type of vision. As a feature you just there to bring a fresh point of view on a song which might otherwise be a very predictable song from an artist who your used to hearing the same way. And Gucci aint the shit you get on to sell out anyways, he isnt that poppin. if wale wanted to sell out he would be on an eminem song. Em makes music with pure pop intentions, his music is in no way for the hood and has mass appeal and gets play on both pop and urban stations. wale is just trying to get more young black males to be fans and those dudes like Gucci…… Burr
