  18. Saigons album , Lasers , Detox and many other great projects are pushed back because to make a huge impact takes alot of preparation to be effective in the music industry. The fact people are looking forward to Act 2 still is a testament to his music being dope. @ come on son calling Jay E a hipster like hes some high school rapper with skinny jeans and beats from the Cool Kids. Sorry I just dont see it and @ Devinthe Dude , people should stop looking at a divide between Mainstream and Underground because the biggest hip hop artists make underground music. Take Jayz – Run this town and DOA for example and Kanye west Power and Runaway and So appalled. Thats not a mainstream sound their using like say Lil Waynes 6’7. People need to finally realize that Mainstream and Underground means popular or not popular to the masses. If you are not on TV and Radio your underground even if you make clubs songs. If you are on TV and Radio with hardcore hip hop records your mainstream. Jay E is signed to Rocnation and the whole world knows Exhibit C so he is not an underground artists anymore. Highlight of the night was Jay Elec going in on a bouncer who came on stage without asking ‘the god’s’ permission

  30. @Turtle Cosign , I have like 50 Jay E songs its just the internet is a good and bad thing cause artists can put music out but then they want more and more. At some point a artist has to focus on music he plans to sell and compete in that arena. Plus dude is obviously making a album of a different format then your regular group of songs and videos.

  35. You niggas seem to think Jay Elec is like any of these other artist. He obviously moves to the beat of his own drum and niggas is dancing. He’s still touring off pretty much the only fucking project he’s dropped. How else could you parlay a mixtape that you dropped 3+ years ago into a Roc Nation deal? Is there any other artist that can even lay claim to that?

  36. Jay Elec is nice… But to those saying he’s released material worth of 4-5 albums, no he has not.
    I think bloggers have become accustomed to subpar material cos they’re constantly on the lookout for some new shit. Free releases are mostly a marketing tool, they’re like teasers for what to expect when the artist really brings it.
