Chip Tha Ripper – Gift Raps (FreEP)

We know it’s still early in the year, but Chip Tha Ripper definitley sets the bar high for 2011 with Gift Raps, presented by ILLROOTS and Karmaloop. The mixtape, for lack of a better word, is produced almost entirely by Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids. We were in the studio when the project first began production last summer and since then thirteen original songs have been produced, recorded and mastered. No features here as the sound these two have created is really unlike anything we’ve heard in a while. From the booming drums of ‘Dynoman’ to the instant classic that is ‘Plural’, every single song is great and refreshing. Download this now or you’re U.A.F. – ILLROOTS.
