He isn’t “the greatest” – he’s too unproven. He’s got a few good mixtapes, but just because you light a candle don’t mean it’s gonna stay lit. If he can stay consistent and keep from copping out to new trends when his flame gets a little dim is the real test. He has great delivery, and can switch his flow up, but the people saying his subject matter gets repetitive are right. If people aren’t saying all happy things about him, that doesn’t mean it’s “only negative” – fact is, he has good things about him and not so good things about him. He should expand beyond “bitches, im getting money, i used to be poor but now im not nigga, blah” more often because the times he does, he can be brilliant. But there are too many vets in the game that have great discographies…way too early to call him the greatest.

I think most people including myself aint sayin J cole is wack but are just wanting to hear that smash single at this point and then a good album. Jay z has a track record for signing people who put out hits back to back all year long ( Kanye , Ross , Jeezy , Rhianna , Neyo etc… ) So he still got a few more months but if people dont see an album by summer time I dont think its gonna look to good anticipation wise if no smash singles drop by then.
