Blu Talks NoYork, New Album w/ Exile, etc (Video)

Blu chops it up with HardKnockTV about his major label debut, NoYork. Saying he has enough songs to make it a triple album (which will be broken up into a mixtape and a couple EPs) and that he is experimenting with a more electric hip hop feel (in the vain of Johnson&Jonson). He speaks on the follow up to Below the Heavens, saying him and Exile have another (very personal) album complete and that they will not be calling it Below the Heavens 2.

Lastly, he responds to the folks saying he needs to put out more music. Reminding y’all that he’s released countless projects in the last few years. Below the Heavens, Johnson&Jonson, ADayLate&ADollarShort, theGODleeBarnes(lp), The Piece Talks, HerFavoriteColo(u)r, BeSene, etc.

  6. Not a fan of the electric sound he’s going for. The only song I’ve liked that he’s done with that sort of sound was slangbangers and I thought it was just okay. I like flylo as much as anyone else but I don’t think blu sounds right over that kind of production. Hopefully he sounds a little better over some madlib. If this album disappoints i’ll be pissed because blu’s one of my favorites

    He has a bunch of other projects like Untaped, Lifted, theGodleeBarnes(lp), The Piece Talks (with Crac), Buy Me Lunch (with Crac), Bullet Through Me (with Crac), Quarter Water Supporter/Please Don't Rain EP (Sene & Blu), BeSene EP (Sene & Blu), and Johnson&Jonson (Blu & Mainframe).
    I don't know those tapes as well (or at all) but I'm getting around to it.
    Blu is awesome, and I have no problem being called a Blu stan.

  51. Yea everyone asking for more blu material there is so many compilation mixtapes out there cause blu has done a shit load of features for many different people. I think there is about 6 compilations of features and just loose tracks from him. not to mention the the albums mentioned so there is some good ass material from him..the problem is you gotta go on a damn scavenger hunt for them lol
