Bread (of Language Artz) – Assassination Day

“Today marks the 46th year anniversary of Malcolm X’s assassination. “Assassination Day,” the first leak off of Bread’s War of the Mind: Prelude to the Brainstorm, captures an excerpt from Malcolm X’s speech at the Hi Fi Country Club in Charlotte, NC. The excerpt was chosen not only due to the powerful concept behind the message, but also the symbolism it parallels today of countless talent gone unrealized in our generation due to unfortunate circumstances.

The Language Artz spitter’s War of the Mind: Prelude to the Brainstorm drops in March.
