A good female friend of mines, who also happens to be one of the BIGGEST Dilla fans I know shares her birthday with the anniversary of Jay Dee’s death. Two years ago, I recorded this and sent it to her as a birthday present. I jacked the beat from Slum Village’s “2u4u” off of the “Fantastic Vol.2″ and made this ode to our collective love for hip-hop. – Cyph
