Bambu Speaks On Albums, Andre 3000 & More (Video)

“The appreciation and the art of creating is kind of slowly dying in hip hop. Albums should sonically mesh, they shouldn’t be a bunch of singles. You should go in there and create a body of work.” – Bambu.

While Bambu stopped in San Francisco to perform, P of the The Mash Up, caught up with him to talk about the art of creating albums, wanting to work with Andre 3000, his favorite verse that he’s written, Mobb Deep and more are featured in part 1 of this interview.

DJ Kool Herc Needs The Hip-Hop Community’s Help

During the latest Live From Headqcourterz show, Premo let the people know that the Father of Hip-Hop, DJ Kool Herc is currently hospitalized. While information is slim on the exact details, it is known that he will be needing surgery, and being that he does not have access to health insurance, Premo and the rest of the Hip-Hop community is asking anyone who is willing and able to help out financially. Premo summed it nicely when he stated:

“We actually have a father of a culture that still lives, where in some cultures, you know, they already dead and gone, even though they may still be worshiped or reflected on in some type of way.”

For those in NYC, Tony Toca will be holding a collection for donations at Sutra this Tuesday. Those not in the Tri-State area can send their donations to:
