  13. footage of dilla in an electronics store >> most of the videos on this website

  14. I hope people realize that Dilla put hip hop on a whole nother level sonically. No one was doing these grandiose complicated type beats before Dilla came. There’d be no Kanyes Madlibs etc without Dilla laying a blueprint. I think people forget how much he advanced the music of hip hop through his innovation…or at least a few people who commented on this thread. Fall back. Dilla is a genius…he’s definitely your favorite producer’s favorite producer.

  15. problem comes when people of the new era, that never was in this dilla time’s,only know bout this innovation thing from talk or internet. but if u really are from this j dilla era and shit. you now the real ,is JAY DEE J DILLA is the hip hop genius, like PRINCE,MICHAEL JACKSON,QUINCY JONES,JAMES BROWN..etc for his respective styles (dot)

  16. I thought arabb Musik was the first to use the MPC live haha!, Fuck outta here with that J Dilla the best to do it R.I.P

  18. i hate the fact that hip hop seems to be the only genre of music that has such a disassociation between generations, and there’s no respect for history in hip hop to the point where some people think it’s cool to be ignorant of what/why other people think so many think a certain artist is great. of course you’re going to have your assholes (me being one of them), and everyone has their opinion. but there are those who would see this and say “fuck that old shit”. this is shown by people who see dilla being worshipped, or or us just watching them do a soundcheck (i thought circle jerk was something you do, not what you are), etc. but i bet they’ll shit their draws if they had a video here of lil wayne getting his grill removed before he went to jail or rick ross eating a bag of chips…

  19. whoever thought arabmusik was the first to use a mpc live must live under a rock. haha n*GG@S worship alot of doods on these blogs. for example that go ham track !!!

  20. this person thinking arab musik was the 1st dude to perform on the mpc on stage 1st? they might be young (as hell) because IMO there’s NO WAY a person can know about the mpc and think that, after ALLLLLLLL of these years of it’s existence, after ALLLLLL the different versions of the MPC has been made, and ALLLLLLLL of the people who has worked, touched or even seen an mpc, arab musik was the 1st person person to say “yo, i got this crazy idea, son!. that’s just… i don’t know.

  21. the best that ever did it.

    I dont worship him ENOUGH.

  22. Best thing I’ve seen on this site.

  23. I’m VERY happy that everyone is enjoying the video. I uploaded it to be shared with the world, so PLEASE share it with anyone you know would be interested. Peace.

  24. Chills…

  25. I’ll personally track down the IP address of everyone who gave this a thumbs down, and/or left a negative comment, then smack some sense into them.

Without the music these dudes made there’d be no Drake/35% of the new school. Co-sign to those who said Dilla pushed things forward sonically, comparable to what Coltrane did to jazz post-Giant Steps.

  26. Wins. RIP Dilla.

  27. Arabb thing was a joke, he said that Kayne swagger jacked the mpc live performance from him. I was just making fun of him. It doesn’t come off as well on the computer i guess lol

  28. rip dilla dawg

  29. R.I.P to the greatest and my mentor. Nobody did it better. NOBODY!!!

  30. Definitely amazed……

  31. Respect @ secondbest21

  32. co-sign on the fact that dilla is responsible for what is revered today…fuck C.H. for trynna “channel” his spirit for the sake of another half assed album…now cancer? he better not be lying, even if i dont wish cancer on anyone.

  33. here we come, almost to his 37th bday, and the 5th anniversary of his death, an ya’ll cant just love the music thats what he put it here for. there will alwaus be dilla jockers biters etx, let them be. just laugh at them. dont interject your idiot opions out there. oh an btw H.A.M. is the shit that is what hiphop should sound like in 2011. fuck outttta here with your faggotry
