Who’s the dude hiding his face?
Could have done with an Accapella….
He’s got a Sox cap on, so I guess he’s from Chi-Town, so maybe Pusha T?
@King Kong It was me.
Trigga Trey maybe
@ King King: it’s Trey Songz
He’s from Chicago but it’s Pusha T… Oh, that sounds perfectly correct.
@Boy Genius Pusha T’s from VA you dumb fuck
This shit weak.
@more jay and eurythmick I was playing mothafucka
I dnt like Cole on this. He doesnt sound comfy.
Im a Cole fan but I guess that was the best he could do with a pop song like that.
i wish i had more hands so i could give this song four thumbs down.
LOOOOL AT THE PUSH-T GUESS!!
J Cole is selling out…don’t tell me aint if Em collabing wit Rihanna aint
Boy Genius…that wasn’t funny even if you were joking, dumbass.
“Who’s the dude hiding his face?”
trey songz.
Mediocre…
@BoyGenius :-| Pusha T is from VA my nigga
Mad move.
i think Cole was better on Keri Hilson’s Buy u
here it sounds like a test run
well what did u expecth im to talk about on a rihanna club song? about knowledge? this song isnt aimed towards you guys who dont go out clubbing lol. real rap. i fcks with cole this coo to me.
i hope dis nigga doesnt really think Pusha T is from chicago get the fuck out
shake took this picture.
I’m really from wisconsin guys
^Co-fucking-sign!
Some of these people act like every fuggin Cole track needs to be hella deep and emotional.
Go to a club and grind with some hoes. Trust me, you wont be listening to the lyrics on the song.
his verse was 30 sec..comon now..smh
dam, like my 2nd-3rd verse from cole i dont like lol gah, dont ever do this shit again to us jermaine.
shake juices to this picture.

People are dumbasses if they think Cole is selling out
Cole is the best rapper alive, psh sell out my ass
lol the description……. And this better hit radio so J Cole can get some more recognition, just hope he dont get addicted
Who Dat and In the Morning both weak radio songs. All his featured guess verses arent memorable. His mixtape FNL has NO replay value what so ever. They way things are looking if he dont have a classic album on deck. J cole is gonna be J cold. HOV need to throw him another life line for the 4th time.
Y’all are TOO critical. Jesus.
That was weak as hell from Cole. Don’t care either way, just being honest there. I know it’s a club joint but the lyrics were generic as hell and the flow was wack too. He didn’t even ride the beat that well… I like Cole, I’m a Carolina boy. I want him to do well, but you can’t deny the truth there. He needs to be killing these guest verses.
S&M stands for shake and meka? lol jk
And whoever said that Pusha T – Chicago shit is fuckin slow
I said Pusha T cuz Trey and Pusha are both from VA…
I would like to see him do well also but the reality is its taking him to long to heat up. Once Drake returns , Jay Elec drops another Exhibit Atom Bomb , Watch the throne Drops and a few other anticipated album drops. Cole is gonna start either get over shadowed by better music or competing at a higher level. Its that simple , at this point he would have to drop a classic song and I mean classic like CL smooth and Pete Rock T.R.O.Y classic.
LOLOLOLOLOL at marty mcfly comment i ain’t seen that much hate since NYC/BROOKLYN…i’ll give u who dat but the rest of shit you typed made absolutely no sense, starting with in the morning that song was a mixtape joint that was never released as a single the fact that it’s even on the radio at all, show’s how popular it is…”all his featured guest verse’s arent memorable” so u completely forgot a star is born and a beautiful bliss…then ONTOP of that when all i want is u come’s on what’s everybody’s fav part…”DAMN COLE WORLD” but u killed me with the FNL don’t got reply value the shit been on every hip hop’s site top 10 list for the year so how the fuck u figure it don’t got replay value…kill yaself nigga lol
Damn, Ya’ll acting like it’s the end of j. cole’s career lol, it was just a 30 sec verse, he was prolly just experimenting on a new type of beat.
You have your opinion and I have mine. Star is born was the 2nd chance Jay z gave Cole to heat up and that was a while ago. The other songs you named nobody I know likes those and the mixtape , thats just my opinion but I know alot of hip hop heads and nobody I know thought it was any good. Its not hate im just telling you the truth from my perspective. I said in my first line that I would like to see him do well also.
this verse was perfect for this song. you fools realize this has nothing to do w/ lyrical content when its a club song. i think alot of people are waiting on Cole to flop, but dont understand Roc Nation is taking a systematic approach to the build up of his album release. He IS heating up b/c clearly he doesnt stay off the top websites for more than a couple weeks.
Tyga > J. Cole
cole sucks
yeaa just like i said errybody gona be jumpin on the “Cole selling out” bandwagon…i hate hiphop fans
Niggas are dumbasses with all the sellout shit. Cole & Riri are both with Roc Nation (Riri’s managed by them at least), so a collabo like this set-up is expected. I think she’s gonna release this version of the song with Cole as the single version, and if that’s true, I’m cool with that. Everything Rihanna touches turns #1, and Cole could use the crossover exposure. Some of these bitchass rap fans need to quit getting mad when a rapper gets successful.
Marty mcfly: swear he hates on everything. FNL had no replay value? what? lmao. You really didn’t give it a chance though, if you did you’d know it definitely has a lot of replay value. Play it in your car tomorrow, it’ll make your day better.
wwwwhhhhhaaaaaaaattttt, “poppy shit”!!!????
Loud (rhiannas album) is one of the best releases of the year…
rihanna>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>mainstream music
I was one of the only people saying the song he did with Keri Hilson was a good move. When he dropped IM on it , I said that was dope and I commented that TOO DEEP for the Intro was dope too. So I dont hate everything.
you kno what i respect your perspective and opinion but you made it seem like both of those where fact’s,nobody YOU know liked all i want is you but it reached top 10 on the hip hop/r&b billboard chart’s which means alot of ppl did. In the morning has over million on 3 separate video’s which mean’s alot of ppl liked the song…personally i think his verse on this song right here is ass…but it’s not intended for the ppl who comment on 2db its intended for the females who listen to rihanna just like his verse on the keri hilson track, when it’s in that context both verse where the shit because they fit the song…and alot of ppl seem to 4get that these are NOT HIS song’s,there POP features not true HIP HOP joints
I know Jayz is smart enough to know that if he shot a video for Coles BLOW UP song last year that he would be on fire right now. Roc nation at this point has to focus on promoting several different artist and projects all at one time now. So cole needs a classic thats all I was saying. Lights Please came close but I dont think it was classic. When the pressure was on Drake he dropped Best I ever Had and Successful. When the focus was on Jay Elec he drop Exhibit C. Now Cole gotta do the same cause I dont think FNL contained any of those type of smashes on it. Im not sayin he cant do it but it still needs to get done and fast.
@Marty next time you state your opinion don’t try to act like it’s a fact, I know like 100 people replay FNL all the time..I’m not a big Cole fan but even I replay it atleast once a week
I cant tell a lot of dudes who dont like this song obviously dont go to parties or clubs and even if they did they damn sho cant get no dance from no hoe. So if you are one of them then stop trying to understand. And people who do understand stop trying to make them understand. They are not going to get it.
Like dude said before man when your at a party or club you aint listenin to the damn lyrics. You are focused on that ass. Once again this is another great move to hit the female demographic. Females dont listen to lyrics. A proveable fact. He’s not a bad looking guy and he’s on Roc Nation. A song like this is perfect. Cause females fuck with Rihanna. Right now they focusing on the females. Cause us dudes we were already on board. Believe it or not there are still females out there who dont know or care about J.Cole. And they have to change that if he is to succeed.
i loveeeeeee it
and the dude on the right is Trey Songz
Cole World, Take Care
I think this is a pretty dope remix & the song was already pretty dope too!
Either way it goes J cole will be successful and blow up. He got the momentum the fanbase and the greatest mc to ever do it backing his music. I just want to see how he blows up? Will he be on some Nas type shit like the IT WAS WRITTEN album , will he make a good balance between commercial and substance rap? I just want to see Roc Nations contribution to the game.
Rihanna, Drake, and Trey Songz are all 3 known sell outs..(especially Rihanna and Trey going from Just Gotta Make It to Neighbors Know My Name)..and apparently material things such as money, cars, clothes, and hoes = success to that sell out Drake
What the fuck is marty talking about? Friday Night Lights doesnt have replay value? I bang that shit ever week. Then you say Drake had pressure on him and he delivered “Best I Ever Had” and “Successful”? Drake wasn’t even one of the top underground artist when “So Far Gone” dropped, Comeback Season had bearly made an imprint on the internet. And lastly you think “Blow Up” could have been a successful mainstream hit? But a guest verse on a Rihanna song wont help Cole’s career…i believe that makes no sense
I didnt say not one word about this verse on Rihanna song. Both of those Drake songs hit MTV and BET in the beginnings of Drakes mainstream buzz. 1st video Best I ever had followed by Successful his 2nd video. So what are you talking about? And if FNL was his album right now what songs would be on top right now?
this is how A. Hole pays you dickriders for 2011. nigga is droppin’ lyrics on some gay shit lollipop track. A. HOLE YOU DONE FLOPPED BEFORE THE ALBUM DROPPED!
And yes I think that a HYPE WILLIAMS directed video for BLOWUP would have worked. Songs for girls are not the only successful mainstream songs. That a misconception.

No one listens to to fickle, apathetic blog rap fans though. Some of you will never understand that your favorite new rapper that puts out the realest music you’ve ever heard in a while will dwindle away into oblivion if they don’t make some pop moves. It’s not called “selling out”. It’s called playing the game. With that being said, I’m not mad at Cole hopping on this joint. Rihanna’s album was actually dope, by the way. I’m a fan of pop music. Are you? Of course not. But that was a pretty low-grade J. Cole verse. He brought it a little harder on the Keri collab, which was a pop feature as well. There’s a balance y’all. It’s real simple.
Both those songs were released on the So Far Gone mixtape, before Drake had a buzz/pressure on him. Those are the songs that created the “buzz”. And “In the Morning” was a very well received song amongst millions (even if you didnt like it) & “You Got It” has radio & club potential. And i promise “Blow Up” would create no more noise than “Who Dat” did
So I guess the die hard J cole fans think IN THE MORNING is a radio smash single. If that song is what got you so hyped up then ok thats cool. If you dont think Drake had any pressure on him to deliver a big mixtape and a platinum album after meeting lil wayne in 2008 ok thats your opinion.
@Marty your opinion of Cole and his future success is clearly influenced by how Drake made it big, can people please stop comparing Drake and J Cole for once already? Why can’t J. Cole blow up like B.O.B did? Or blow up his own way? Why do people want him to copy-cat Drake so badly??
BLOW UP would have worked people , its called taking a risk. What if Kanye never did Threw the Wire or If Lupe never did Superstar or Nas never did IF I RULED THE WORLD? You dont always have to do the expected sometimes the unexpected works. Even if the video didnt work the song still moves by ear. Adding the visual sells the dream even more.
@ jonnie I know you know you hip hop so its all good but if J cole tried to copy Drake id be mad. B.O.B did copy Drake cause beautiful girls is too close to Best I ever had. I want J cole to do it his way but dont front we all know the next video he makes is gonna be a critical step in promoting his album and I tired of his mellow songs. I want some aggression and not like Who Dat I mean like the song IM ON IT. Then go back to the IN THE MORNING type Drake shit.
Aite what about Black N Yellow? That was a original single that blew up..
J. Cole – S&M Verse Only
Click my name to listen/download
I think Black N yellow is dope. I knew nothing about wiz before that song but when I heard Black N Yellow I was like this young cat is DOPE. Just being honest.
I had no clue about Taylor gang or him and Currensy or nothing and I like Boom Bap premo records but when im in the car or the club , Black N yellow is cool. Why do you ask about that song?
Because from what I get from what you’re saying earlier you believe Cole needs to follow the same formula B.O.B. and Drake used as far as a mainstream hit in order for his album to sell..so I’m saying its not necessarily true, Wiz didnt follow the same formula and Black N Yellow blew up
J. Cole is the silver lining in every dark cloud .
I hear you but it should be interesting to see what Cole does. We just gotta watch and see…
Y’all dudes is lame,
Just cuz Cole talking bout something that relates to the song instead of deep shit don’t mean he selling out.
He’s jumping on more songs n shit that’s unexpected to expand his fan base.
You might not like it but I bet the hoe u dancing with will
@BoyGenius that still makes no got damn sense. you said Pusha was from Chicago now you switching your shit up and saying that you said Trey and Pusha from VA dont fucking lie to us kid. we dont play that shit round here
phahaha, and there it is . “You might not like it but I bet the hoe u dancing with will” – @Mind2Kurupt
Boy genius got fucked too hard on his ear. The dick hit his brain n fucked him up.
U ain’t gotta b from chcago to rock the hat.
Soulja boy would of murdered the track, Rihanna should of gave him head 2 give her one of those classic Andre way verses
yeah………..j cole isnt even that good?
never understood his hype
^^SMH, you probably aint listen to Warm Up or Friday Night Lights
BULLSHIT
I tried being open minded to J. Cole’s music by downloading FNL but I really don’t understand why everyone dick rides the only track I thought was decent was in the morning…that mixtape had no repeat value what so ever. I don’t if its his delievery or what but his music just doesn’t grasp me.
@truthbetold if that’s the only song you liked, then it’s quite apparent you are a Drake fan. that was possibly my least favorite song. And another guess is that you don’t like to hear anything about REAL life…
@panoble I’m a huge Q-tip, Mos Def, Common and Kweli fan, so try again about me not liking song about real life.
I just don’t see why people get worked up over homies music, he doesnt put out good music to me. #kanyeshrug
@truthbetold
ima j. Cole fan but fnl is overrated.. Try the warm up its dope way more replay value
If u gave this a thumbs up ur either female or gay.
New school rap cats & their fans are sooooo laaaaame.
Drake got that face that makes ya want to put some knuckles to it.
I gotta agree with McFly on some points, a well directed video for Blow Up would’ve served Cole well, it definitely had more single potential than Who Dat did in my opinion. And In The Morning was meh for me, it definitely wasnt a standout track especially with the likes of Too Deep for the Intro, Before Im Gone, and The Autograph on it. Cole spits better when he does aggressive verses, so for me its hard to believe that “In the morning” would be the die hard J.Cole song rather than something like Grown Simba, or even You Got it (if you’d rather a more mainstream sound)
I didnt particularly like the verse ( or the song), but i definitely think its a good move for Cole to get more exposure
Click my name for J. Cole’s Verse only
Cole came wack. Very disappointed.
Most definitely not Cole’s best verse. Actually was really whack. And this is from a Cole stan.
If yall niggas think In The Morning didnt have incredible crossover potential and didnt gain Cole thousands of fans already THEN you must not talk to ANY bitches! Cuz i dont know any females that have heard that song and dont fuck w/ it….& i mean that LITERALLY
^^^ Send Drake a thank you note cause that was his style.
Cole released the original version of In The Morning the same week he released the Warm Up (look it up) which means he probably had the song before So Far Gone even came out or gained any hype…
what we doin right now, this our dream
Wu-Tang Clan niggaz want that +CREAM+
I’m the Osirus of this shit right now
Go-to guy for the hits right now……..Show me a good time
how many people have gone to Drake to get crossover appeal? TOO MANY
For J. Cole this was a poor verse. Doesn’t mean i didn’t like the song.
Cole is the best rapper alive in my opinion he’s nothing but real at least he’s not on some mainstream shit like Drake and Wiz Cole came to far to not become the best.
