  6. So wait, on the cover of Act 2 in the vid it said “Greatest Hits”…is he about to pull some bullshit and not even give us the real Act 2…?
That probably won’t sit well with the kiddies…cmon Jay

  7. @ dope

nah homie greatest hits is just a collection of all of his best songs he has put out to this day. It’s basically to promote Act II and to get those who are just hopping on the elec train up to speed.

  8. …cmon dope

  9. fuck the complaining bunch about Electra’s work ethics, not putting enough music out. Sit paitiently children, the man will make it worth it.

  13. I fux with Jay Elec y’knowwhatimsaying, hes nice, y’knowwhatimsaying, much like the rest of yall, y’knowwhatimsaying, I just wish there was more of a, y’knowwhatimsaying, catalog. Him & the GodNauzeer on a track y’knowwhatimsaying, would be wild!

  14. he said youwhatimsayin.. soo many damn times

  15. ^^^^ He tryna be like Ghostface

  16. ^ It’s a southern thing, youknowwhatimsaying. If you’ve ever heard Paul Williams (the boxer who got KTFO) in an interview, he’s 10x worse.

Anyways, Jay Electronica x Nas would be and should be the greatest thing since years ago. Period.

  29. It seems like to me that Hip Hop is pushing the reset button. Also pardon me if I sound a little crazy right now , Im off a 6 pack of heineken and some of the Bay areas finest purp but I need yall to realize some shit right now. Just like in 2000 , Hip hop got more focused and better music started coming out. Like Ems Slim Shady , 50 cent debut and Jayz Blueprint. I look at Jay Electronica like Common or Wu tang. Hes bringing the heart and mind back to this shit and what I mean by that is 1st the heart- lyrics about real shit , 2nd mind- lyrics put in a creative way. When Wu tang forever came out , I was a Master P fan , I was bout it bout it all day. Playin Mystikal like crazy ( Unpredictable is a dope album ) I was in high school being young and reckless. Then my friend put me on the Wu tang Forever album. When I first heard it I was lost , I never listened to 36 chambers so I was like whats all this kung fu shit about nigga im from the streets not a old ninja movie. The more I listened though the more research I did to see what the hell this Method mans Method was really about. Long story short I learned alot from that album , somethings I needed like knowledge of self. So when I listen to Jay elec I get the same feelin I got when I bought the ILLMATIC album , took it home and we out a power out. So I put that album in my walkman and listened to it in the dark and Nas basically explained my life story at that point from his point of view. Im from the west but I can relate and ive been to NY several times. I just want these kids to listen to Jay Elecs music and understand that you mite not get it right away but over time your own life will reveal the jewels that hes speakin on. Alot of music in rap now is pop shit and some of its cool , like Black and Yellow from Wiz but JE is not snack music. He tryin to make 4 course meals on some 120 lessons , knowledge wisdom and understanding type music. So even though you lil Tupacs out there want to be riders , 1st you need to open your mind up and peep game from the chosen few. I mite wake up tomorrow and read this and be like what was I doin talkin to these kids about hip hop when they aint gone listen but fuck it. I know the truth is involved so its cool. Some of yall need to wake up out of the mentality you stuck in that got you killin each other and filling up the prison system. Jay Elecs music is not for the money , he tryin to change yall negative cats spirits and give yall some hope. Anyway its gettin late so im out but I just wanted to vent 4 a minute. ONE

  30. I love that track. Jay Electronica with Nas is the truth! Got that ’92 feel – HAM

  31. Fuck nas man, that nigga is wack now! Time to retire hommie.

  32. nice track.

  33. I WANT ACT 2

  34. @Chuck Go To Youtube & Type In Jay Electronica Mountain Dew Commercial.& It Should Be The First One.

  35. Is this dude a member of a terrorist group? Some of his raps make me feel like I’m sitting in a cave with Osama Bin Laden. He can surely spit but his content is just too political and “Middle-Eastern” based for me to get into. I ain’t trying to hear about the struggle going on in the Middle East and all these slang terms and languages he likes to speak. Them dudes blew my buildings up, they can struggle for the rest of their lives for all I care… Just sayin

  36. @Jay, you sound pretty ignorant, fam, and racist. Obviously Jay Electronica lyrics are way over your head.

“Them dudes blew my buildings up, they can struggle for the rest of their lives for all I care… Just sayin” — Wow, no extra commentary necessary on how bigoted and small-minded that is!

The fact that you think “Middle Eastern” people are responsible for 9/11 goes into a whole other level of ignorance, but we’ll leave it there. Jay Electronica’s shit is way too intelligent for cats like you. You on the wrong page.

By the way, if you want a really dope Jay Electronica compilation, check out ‘Complete 2010 Releases and Features’, which has every appearance he made in 2010, including all features. It’s on my site.

  37. Yeah, Jay just shut the fuck up and listen to Waka if you find Jay Electronica too political or Islamic. No need to spew your bigotry all over the place.
