Bring it Back: Xzibit – 3 Card Molly f. Ras Kass & Saafir (1998)

Before X started pimpin’ rides and getting his Hollywood on, he was known for his presence on the microphone. Again, while updating the iPod I came across his discography and decided to give 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz a spin.

  3. Funny how some people don’t really listen to a cd like this much. I bump this shit all the time. My heart is stuck in the 90′s though. Great track. Def. His best album. I can listen to every track on there. I was mad when The Source only gave it 3 1/2 mics

  4. golden state…lol

  5. This was the fuckin joint back in 98. Everyone came correct and the beat was nice but rassie fuckin murked it. One of my favorite verses ever and spit with the effortless arrogance and swagger that few cats like ras and big l pull off.

  10. “3 Card Molly” was the first song that i heard from Xzibit, in ’98 i believe. I was given a “3 Card Molly” single CD when i visited Loud Records, and from there I eventually bought the album as well as some of X’s other work.

  18. I thought Restless was his best album. This one was fire as well though. But yeah Restless dropped in 2000, not 2002.

  19. Pimp My Ride made Xzibit bankrupt smfh

  20. Classic. Love the whole album.

  21. Recycled Assassins is the tightest joint of this album.

  22. Wtf is this post that new gucci freestyle

  23. classic. What U See Is What U Get is one of the best videos ever and a dope song.

  24. Grew up near Toronto and bumped a whole lot of west coast shit, Hiero, Ras Kass but esp. the Likwit Crew. King Tee – IV Life deserves a post IMO. Super N****, Duck, Dippin, Freestyle Ghetto. Incredible.

  25. IMO At THe SPeed OF Life >
Anyway Restless was released in 2000.

  26. Ras is so ill

  27. gotta big up plastic surgery from at the speed of life too. golden state warriors, shun! today, xzibit would be ekpe udoh, ras kass would be monte ellis, and saafir is steph curry.

  28. Saafir doing anything in rapgame?

  29. This album had some great songs, but there were a lot of skippable songs on it too. I still prefer At The Speed Of Life, which I think is his best album. Paparazzi was my anthem that year and is still one of my favorite songs of all time.

  30. Yo plzzzzz Shake & Meka make a Random Acts Of Fuckery with Gucci Mane new tat lmaoooo!

  31. it’s a shame dudes been trying to declare bankruptcy for a minute now

  32. Xzibit’s catalog from “At The Speed Of Life” to “Weapons of Mass Destruction” was some high level shit…to this day I still bump LAX, Front To Back, The Foundation, etc…

  33. i wonder how many songs shake/meka have on their ipods..

  34. Yea, XZ was tight.

  35. Used to work @ Loud Rec LA back in the day and remember when X would come through with the newest joints from what would become this album – he would be in Steve Rifkind’s office blasting his new tracks. Funny story, some young film makers were up at the office and pitched Xzibit an idea for a movie, they wanted X to play a character in the movie – Xzibit looked at them and said “Talk to Tash, he is the actore in the crew. TV and film are not my thing” hahaha Yeah right X!

  36. Fuck that, I protect myself with these 12 shots, and 1 in the chamber, gun in the waist, & 1 in the ankle, waitin’ for someone to come to place tryin’ to walk up and knock like these cocksuckers are not gonna get a shotgun or a glock shoved in their face?

  37. CLASSIC SHIT.

one of my favorite rap songs ever. top 100 anyway lol.
