So yesterday evening I’m walking past the studio where The Late Show With David Letterman is taped just as the crowd is emptying out onto the streets. It just so happened that, well, a bunch of young, Black men and women were primarily coming out of the studio. “What, did 106 & Park get moved? There must have been an urban artist tonight,” I thought to myself. Lo and behold, Keri Hilson was the special guest performer on the show that night.

NOW… as far as the african american community, a lot of people are tuning in to shows like your JAY LENO’S and DAVID LETTERMAN’S because they are being told by media to give hip hop and r&b artists more of a chance to have a market on their shows and not just your BET’S and MTV’S and VH1′S… shyt like that. Now they won’t put a super MC battle on a tonight show because they know whoever they put on will drop at least a pair of F bombs, so they want the artists who are poppin or are making a buzz for an album out or upcoming project… CASE IN POINT: ^^^ KERI HILSON.

Maybe because Keri has recently dropped an album to promote and J. Cole hasn’t? When he does, he’ll be sure to get more time on shows like this, no reason to be bitter.

What they did with the song’s rhythm was crazy, playing it in 3 different ways, but all equally great and fitting. The guys behind the instruments were fucking amazing!
