A person who doesn’t know that Talib Kweli isn’t one half of Reflection Eternal…isn’t a fan of Talib Kweli.
I bought RPM (The only album I bought in 2010 along with How I Got Over). It’s just that people like shitty music nowadays Kweli. Look at the sales of some of the other rap albums that came out this year.
Ballad Of The Black Gold said more in terms of content than all of Pink Friday and Thank Me Later combined.
Pop music sells.
RPM was a very good CD. I can’t believe that Midnight Hour didn’t go pop.
Either way the CD is still in the whip.
I agree that the label dropped the ball promotion wise, but I’m pretty sure most Kweli fans know he’s part of Reflection Eternal. Those that don’t have to be smoking something fierce.
YO THAT WAS ME!
I thought the promotion was pretty good actually.. especially out here in Australia. It’s just only about half the album was hot, and the other half was alright. Midnight Hour was a horrible track and single in my opinion.
