  1. Will we ever see the day when an artist releases THEIR album without 50% or more of it being features? It would be much appreciated if some “big” named artist changed that trend so that these artist start releasing their albums mostly if not all solo. I can understand mixtapes but your album should be about you.

  2. Sean Price and Talib Kweli, hot DAMN do I want that song.

  3. ^ mos def rarely has features on his albums.

  4. REzo, you do know the most of features are hooks ,dummbass . not evereybody who is featured is rapping . we always had features for the hooks since the old day . so shut up with your ignorant bullcrap

  5. Whoa, guess that wasn’t a “friendly” leak after all. This should be dope tho.

  6. 13. Uh Oh feat. Jean Grae (produced by Oh No) <—-THIS THIS THIS THIS

  7. M-Phazes…..goooooood gracious!!

  8. @meka track 4 is fire had a listen already. P!

  9. I like Kweli but damn the last mixtape he did showcasing alot of other rappers. That shit was so weak. Im sorry and his label Blacksmith , I cant say ive heard any heat come from that camp. I dont know whats goin on over there. Somebody get Mos on the phone.

  10. 88888888888888

  11. Um…. I’m Talib’s 2nd biggest fan and I’m happy you comin out wit this and all but… WHERE THE F**K IS IDLE WARSHIP?

  12. @Rezo Should he also stop working with producers and do it all himself? and tour on his own without a DJ to make it just about him?
SMH at this overwhelming modern trend of an individualized society. Everything (not just music) comes out best through working together. How can a rapper claim the album is just about him if he doesnt also produce ALL of the music/artwork etc.

  13. Yea…Where Is Idle Warship? That Mixtape Was Dope.

  14. I dont want a digital album though. I’d rather go out and buy the disc. But its cool, Kweli will be dope either way.

  15. why the fuck is it digital only in America!!!! That’s fuckin’ bullshit.

  16. cant wait for the outasight feature

  17. Tracklist looks pretty thorough, folk

  18. fuck this shit im knockin that new Flockaveli and DeAndre’s Way albums, im 11 years old so I think i know real rap since im young and hip

Rebel did u miss the strong arm steady album In Search Of Stoney Jackson Produced Entirely by Madlib?? That was Technically a blacksmith release. Tho That was the only release from blacksmith outside of kweli/reflection eternal BUT i couldnt count him or blacksmith out just yet

  20. shit im mad to find out that the sean price feature is ONLY on the album version. In Any event of course im checking for this album. Like some dude above me pointed that jean grae/oh no track should be hot!

U came on this post, apparently as a actual proud fan of gucci, just to say that bullshit??? lol special ed

  22. ^^^nah im bullshitting…just want u to feel like u punk’d someone to taking ur comment serious

  23. compare to kweli’s last two albums this just a disappointment

  24. Don’t think this will be as good as some of his other albums like Ear Drum and Train of Thought

  25. @GucciManeSoccerFan114

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHH funniest shit I ever heard

  26. strong arms release was technically a stones throw release. arms and hammers=blacksmith
i feel what @Rezo is saying. less ft. would be cool from talib.

  27. I also agree with Rezo. You never caught Big Daddy Kane with an album full of features. Same with Rakim. No one’s asking Talib to produce his own beats, but we are asking him to stand up on his own two feet on his own album, instead of leaning on other rappers to help him complete a song/album. It’s not out of the question for a rapper to have little to no features on an album, but the overwhelming trend is to have features galore. It’s weak.

  28. talib kweli real mc.. stop hate real hip hop lil wayne stans! yeah stans!

  29. cool, definate buy.

  30. @Wiff! ur right. My mistake i thought it was blacksmith/stones throw or something like that but blacksmith is in no way involved.
Plus that mixtape rezo mentioned wasnt even a kweli mixtape it was a blacksmith community mixtape displaying various artists. Kweli has always had albums with features so i dont quite get why dudes wanna complain about that aspect now. This album has the least features ive seen on a full lp from kweli and half the features on THIS album are only hooks from what i see anyways

  31. @yugang were all quite aware that kweli has always done that which is why people are merely suggesting that he go-without a bunch of features on his album regardless of the feature is only doing the hook or not

  32. the only features that i would’ve kept on this album is sean price without question, jean grae without question and chace infinite. The rest can go off.

  33. no Mos feature? or production from Tek…lol whats he doin??

^^^looks like someone dont care for kweli unless hi-tek or mos is involved

  35. Everyone’s bitching about the features; but aren’e some of them HIS artists? He is running a business. And most of you arent going to buy that shit anyway

  36. Production looks pretty weak on this album considering he had Madlib, Just Blaze and Pete Rock on his last solo effort.

  37. …I can see how someone might be irritated about the features. Then again, some of us know that Kweli is good with/without them. An album should be mainly about an artist and his/her work, but collaboration in rap has been huge for years. It’s where a lot of classic shit happens. One thing’s for sure in rap music, you will never please everyone.

  38. Nice to see Blaqtoven back. Great producer
