it’s not soap OPERA shit. Without Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Thor doesn’t adapt to the human world, therefore doesn’t join the Avengers… Nothing like the uninformed making judgment calls without knowing the source material on a film that isn’t released.
I orginally thought Thor wasn’t going to translate well to the movie screen but this clip has changed my mind. It might be a pretty good movie.

Thor’s cast out of Asgard by Odin in order to learn humility. He is sent to earth without memories of who he is and wields his hammer once his host, Dr. Donald Blake, discovers it. Donald Blake is absent in this film so how exactly does this 616 origin work? Answer, it don’t, folk. The romance with Foster is shoe horned in just to appeal to women. In the comics Jane Foster is not an astrophysicist, but Dr. Blake’s assistant nurse and their romantic relationship has nothing to do with him becoming the God of Thunder once again. And it also develops over a DECADE!!! And Ultimate Thor’s origin is nothing like this either. He was a Psychiatric Nurse who has a break down, then remembers he is A Norse God. So who’s this movie about? Certainly not Thor. Clearly the studio just made some shit up. Seriously there’s so much wrong with this trailer I don’t know where to begin.
