Kids These Days – My Days (Video)

Directed by Nic Collins and Ryan Farmer.

Yeah, this is dope. Hailing from Chicago, the group consists of “three horns, a rapper, a blues-rock trio and a female singer”. Definitely looking forward to their Hard Times EP, dropping in December.

You need to upload his straight up ep

  14. Dude is 17!!!!!??

  15. no hate, i like the music. but he does sound like drake. i was in denial till like the fourth bar, then it hit me. rhyme schemes and all that are the same.

  16. this is actually pretty cool. Will have to check EP when it comes out

  17. this is dope. refreshing to hear something different sometimes

  18. Granted, this kid does sound similar to Drake, but dude is only 17 years old. Moral of the story, dude can rap, the band is dope and there’s still plenty of time for growth.

  19. Creativity +Ingenuity = Kids These Days ..damn I can doughie ta dis..dope music

  20. This was some solid music. I like the originality. I hope these guys get more recognition. This was an eclectic mix.

  21. ppl jock drake like he invented the art of spitting. this shits dope and no he doesnt sound like drake.

  22. sick track…have they released any other stuff other than that upcoming ep?…and that dude kinda looks like blu a lil bit:S

  23. and that guy to drake is like asher roth to eminem…”sounds” the same but you can easily tell the difference

  24. I don’t know how the hell people can hate on this.. these are just young talented people doing their thing.. it’s really dope to me, I’ll be following this group..

i think there just really dope but not my style

  28. they all have talent..but it feels forced .id listen to them individually though

  29. dope

  30. Looks like Drake lost another chromosome. One step closer to a Neanderthal

  31. Aint nobody through up no DAMN folks! goof ass!
& drake content couldn’t touch is PERIOD!!!!!
$MKTD niqqa WE in here! and yea..Rapper be 17
    dope shii fuu

  32. The rapper’s name is Vic Mensa. He has a dope ep out right now called “Straight Up.” His sound is very reminiscent of drake but in no way is he jocking him. Video is dope. Shout to shake for posting this.

  33. Drake looks different in this video.

  34. I don’t listen to Drake much, but I recognize this dude sounds a lot like him (at least in voice and rhyme scheme)
However, the group as a whole is pretty dope. I’m loving the diversity. I think dude should step up his rhymes, maybe try to develop his own style and the group should work towards making their music more fluid, if you know what I mean.

  35. dude rapped like drake then j.cole and looks like blu’s little brother and dresses like wale’ when he tries to look fresh, nice song

  36. ^^wales clothes are hardley original. he dresses like the website hypebeast
not a shot just er facts..any1 can dress like that and alot did b4 wale

  37. ^^^fuck yalls convo on the flipside this is good shit good lyrically and the beat is quite calming

  38. I can see why people think that dude sound like Drake, but no. I’ve been listening to Drake way before Young Money, and when I heard this song nothing relating to drake came up. So you guys should stop comparing rappers so much and take shit for what it is.

  39. Nice…

alot of hate… but haters never really do anything except that… hate… boring insignificant petulant humans they are…

Group is nice… i’ll be looking for more work from them.

  40. i mean real talk, who the fuck cares what dudes wearing listen to the music. definitely some nice young talent, better than the horse shit on the radio. also, those were not the forks being shaken up. learn your gang shit dumbass

  41. Shit sounds Drake makin’ records with the Flobots… Dope song. Can’t wait til the Hard Times jawn.

  42. yo thanks for the directing credit shout out!

  43. This is cool stuff. Fresh young group and fresh video. Why the haters have to hate. Get over it. It’s 2010 dumbasses, theres nothing to hate except yourself. Music is dead on, crisp, fresh GREAT. The video is the same, GREAT!. Cudos to KTD & Collins & Farmer & TEHO

  44. This was cool, I’ll be checking for Kids These Days.

  45. OK. A little info. Vic is 17…the rest of the band members are seniors so they are all 17 or just turning 18. They aren’t shaking up folks. Everything doesn’t have to be gang related coming out of Chicago. No disrespect to anyone. I know them personally and I work with them. Check out their vids on vimeo. This will be their first project or music released period. Vic has released a lot of music though. Google him or follow him. I worked with him on the “Straight Up” ep too. Enjoy the music. They will be artists to pay attention to. Remember they are to this point in high school. Some of you were still trying to find yourself, let alone actually know what you want to do with your life.

  46. We’re shaking KTD. This is Rajiv Halim. Saxophonist with the group. I’m the oldest (20 yrs old).

  47. video is exceptionally corny
having seen them live though theyre great. Vic is going places, straight up (no pun intended). The drummer, Greg Landfair, is amazing too. Their use of brass is phenomenal too. Digging the music
    but really, an apple orchard?
