Will I care if Wayne “still has it”….NO. Because he hasnt had “it” since Carter II. Everything he says nowadays is immediately viewed as “good”, just because of his stature, and the name he’s built for himself, but really, it’s pretty cheesy music. He’s becoming a business man just like every “great” Jay-Z,Eminem,DrDre,50 Cent, etc… (personally, he’s not a great in my book, but for the sake of the post and 99% of the worlds population who would label him a “great”, I had to do it). If Big L was still in the game, he probably wouldnt be rapping as hard as he did, but Im pretty sure the dude would stay true to his roots, and not release a pop record. Eminem had it going for him, and then he became sober….Not saying that’s necessarily a bad thing but, he used have Royce D 5’9, Xzibit, Dre on his cds, now he has Wayne, Rihanna, and Pink… (pink is fucking horrible) And all the beats sound like they came out of cereal box. Give it up, if you dont have it. Cause deep down I know the greats that are still living, wish they could still rap like they used to.
