Yeah everyone that hits play and has a set of ears knows Joell is nice, but a Kanye cosign sure doesn’t hurt his popularity. He said himself in his interview today his twitter followers went through the roof. I usually don’t really want my favorites to get too much shine cuz I’m scared they’ll switch up but it’s not like that with Joell. He’s the kinda dude that even if he was on top all he’d do is keep it real and save hip hop.
It’s called word of mouth. It’s very important. If you get positive reviews from someone credible or has a bigger soapbox to speak from (which Kanye has), people are more likely to look for you, or at least take a listen if they see your name somewhere else.
