J-Live Says That He’s the First Solo Artist to Break Up (Video)

Continuing on with his interview with The Well Versed and the dopehouse, J-Live speaks on his upcoming album, S.P.T.A. (Said Person of That Ability).

“I get all my albums from 5% lessons. From The Best Part to All of the Above,” the emcee who has made his presence felt in the underground circuit since the 90′s explains. “Basically (the new album) talks about what are we going to do as artists and what kind of responsibility do we have. At the very least, speak our truth, speak our minds, provoke thought and inspire listeners to become critical thinkers.”

“The concept of the album is that I produce, rap and dj – that’s what Triple Threat stands for – I’m taking that and running with it,” he explains. “I’m the first solo artist to break up. The dj, producer and emcee all have creative differences to the point where they really aren’t fucking with each other anymore.”
