According to Cole “Friday Night Lights” plays like an album not like a mixtape. He said the way he put together the track list it flows like an album. He said the actual music is album quality music that he has been holding onto throughout the process of recording his album. I guess that is another way of saying the songs are better than mixtape songs but not quite good enough for his album. If I was the one asking the questions I would have asked how does this tape stack up against “The Warm Up”? I have to be honest and say that I have been disappointed with the songs Cole has released this year. I am hoping that this tape brings back the 2009 Cole sound and feeling.
