Apparently now, Watch The Throne, originally slated to be an EP, will be a full-length project between Kanye and Jay-Z.
“We putting out a whole album now,” he told MTV News‘ Sway Calloway. “We had done five [songs] so far, but then a few of them kind of were out there, and I put them on my album. Sorry, Jay. But we got some more, and we’re going to the South of France at the end of the month to just record new ideas. But we’ll probably be done with the album in a day.”
I’m wondering if they’re still going to go with Q-Tip, Pete Rock and Madlib on the project as well. Knowing the nature of the beast, they probably won’t though; remember how DJ Premier was supposed to be on The Black Album? Exactly.

10 verses? Am I the only one confused by that statement? If they do a whole LP how does Jay only need 10 verses? Wouldn’t it be more like 20? If they are going to be splitting up the verses? A whole album would mean at least 12-14 songs right? So how does he figure Jay needs 10 verses? A whole album would mean combined they would need around 40?

Sorry man, but it was co-produced by Premier & Ye. Don’t remember where I read that but it’s also somewhat evident to me. Premo had a lot to do with the sampling. I guess we’ll be able to read it on the album credits :/
