Very decent track, but definitely not one of Dre’s best beats.
I LIKE the bassline……i hate them kinda hooks though
Oooooh like this beat indeed!
very good production
…..he has one a grammy aleady, cats got a head start
*won
Hard beat… Dawaun’s production is great. Gotta hear more of his rapping before I can judge.
Dawauns the man, been a fan for a long time. Tracks fire.
i thought this was dope as fuck
never heard of this cat. but the track is dope
this is really dope, but i think dre should be saving shit like this for detox.

Wasnt TI’s ‘Why U Wanna’ produced by Khao?
Busta Rhymes – Goldmine – CLASSIC.
This dude is mad talented no doubt but I just wonder how much of every beat he makes is actually Dre behind the boards.
Pops, he co-produced most of those songs on that list. There’s no telling how much of the actual production he did on say the stuff he did alongside Dr. Dre all for Relapse. I’d still like to think that his solo production is still fire, but when you are co producing nearly everything with Dr Dre, of course the mixing is going to be on point.
He made Been Through The Storm? God damn. Dope! Love the hook too.
very nice
Man, those are quite the credits. The last few years Dre has been colloborating on a lot of his production. I wonder if it is other cats making the beats, and than Dre just adds something, or if it’s ghost production, or if Dre just makes a shell, and the other cats fill it out, or vice versa? Anyone else think this?
Dre’s ghost producer??
Look everything is nice on this song.
Hook sounds like those old west coast hooks back in the day.
So no HATE, APPRECIATE.
first of all track is fire – driving beat, epic music.
he’s normally credited for keys on a lot of the dre stuff, as well as co-producer more recently. but he’s definitely more than a keyboard player, dude has the whole beat and production shit on lock to a very high standard. similar sounds to dre. another track leaked a few days ago with raekwon and gage using one of his beats. didn’t sound properly produced but the beat was fire!
Dawaun is the main piano man for Dr. Dre, like Scott Storch was in the 2001 days.
^^ Storch back working with Dre almost all year on ‘Detox’. I think I prefer Storch’s keys but as a beat maker he never had the drum game on lock. Dawaun > Storch for solo production, but unfair comparison given the hits that Storch has had already.
Pops said this on October 20th, 2010 at 8:18 am < DAWAUN parker is a producer to??
I like their headphones
Dre has been taking credit for other dudes work for yeeeeaars now. Just ask Daz Dillinger.
………Mel-Man, Neff-U, and a few aforementioned cats in the c-section.
Song is dope tho, no matter who ‘duced it.
LMAO at all of dres beats sounding the same
NICE TRACK. HE SOUNDS LIKE HE WOULD BE GOOD GHOSTWRITER. I WOULDN’T BE SUPRISED IF HE HASN’T ALREADY
Black heart, black soul, ALL BLACK EVERYTHING
Busta’s Big Bang Theory was damn near classic to me. I wish that got more support b/c that’s what slowed down the Aftermath machine. Had that been real profitable, other projects/artists would have come out. daaaamn
Busta Rhymes – Get You Some
Busta Rhymes – Legend Of The Fall Offs
Busta Rhymes feat. Missy Elliott – How We Do It Over Here
Busta Rhymes feat. Nas – Don’t Get Carried Away
Busta Rhymes feat. Raekwon – Goldmine
Busta Rhymes feat. Rick James – In The Ghetto
Busta Rhymes feat. Q-Tip – You Can’t Hold the Torch
Busta Rhymes feat. Stevie Wonder – Been Through The Storm
This guy produced Imagine by Snoop/Dre? One of my ALL-TIME favorite tracks.
this is really good, loving the beat
What the fuck are y’all talking about?? HE DIDN’T PRODUCE ALL THOSE TRACKS. Where do you get that wack information from? Wikipedia?? Fuck out of here. Dudes are getting him confused with Mark Batson. He DIDN’T producer ANYTHING on THE BIG BANG.
@sorry
No he didn’t produce Imagine, that was Mark Batson and Dre.
and cosign to How I Got Over, he didn’t produce most of those tracks.
^^ yah that wiki is kinda inaccurate. stuff like the busta’s big bang LP and snoop’s imagine he is in the credits as a key player. it is only recently on projects like relapse he has been starting to collect co-producer credits.
Bullshit^^^
Dewaun said himself in an interview on aftermathmusic.com that he coproduced a lot on Bustas Big Bang Theory. Go check, that ain’t wikipedia my man. Dewaun has his hands in a lot more than you think. Deawaun, mark batson, dre, khallil
^^^its aftermath bitch. Those guys are all dope.
He did produce on Big Bang he told me himself. Clown.
Wow that’s a good track. The outro, the chorus, everythin’… caN,t wait for the project now !!
track is still on repeat, classic music right here.
about his production work with dre – i think we can conclude that wikipedia is obviously wrong, but that the actual credits do not tell the full story about his hand in particular projects/tracks, based on interviews and insider information. sounds reasonable to me.
How I Got Over … “He DIDN’T producer ANYTHING on THE BIG BANG.”
Check the liner notes on the actual CD or even allmusic.com …the credits are there. Why don’t u check your own sources before makin comments bout others’
Gordon B. … “This dude is mad talented no doubt but I just wonder how much of every beat he makes is actually Dre behind the boards.”
u live in another world if u think all these top producers still do most of everything themselves.
foh hating ass niggas… DAWAUN is the best get wit or get lost…. He has done alot more than what is actually expressed in the media.. and DRE takes alot more credit than he should.. cause DAWAUN does all that shit… gtfoh
Track is very ill man!! Dope!
Track is mad dope & sounds classic!
Why did i think the headline said DENAUN PORTER @ 1st, lol.
sounds nice real nice ,.reminds of dr.dre
