With sparse piano, a backing choir and strings, Macklemore and Mansfield’s stories are exposed. Two young artists who have struggled with addiction and are producing their best work sober, have crossed genres to create one of the most innovative collaborations of the year. i think macklemore is the best artist out there. i try hard to put other people onto his music. he spits some real shit, and puts out music you can really get into. since this song’s been out today i’ve already listened to it like ten times and its on the ‘pod, and showed it to a friend who loved it. goooood shit.

An amazing song was turned into an amazing rap song, and now it’s been remixed again. Each version is amazing. Macklemore is one of the best artists out there right now, not only with his musical talents, but with his message, and Ryan Lewis backing him up. And Fences has this awesome sound and passion behind his music that I love, and you can see that in this song. I’m gonna be listening to this remix a lot.

Lol Hot ballz. Dude, guess what: Producers sample beats sometimes, he gave credit to RHCP, in fact that was the point of the VS EP, to sample non-rap songs and give it away and expose different genres. Not to mention Mack killed it.
