Ski Beatz On Maschine & Ableton Live 8 (Video)

During The Smoker’s Club stop in New York, Ski was the beat maestro for Curren$y, and instead of using turntables he was using this thing I thought was an MPC. Turns out that it was the Macshine, seen in this clip, as he gives this lesson in sampling. I’ll be honest; this was like watching a science experiment to me. That’s not a shot at all; I just have no idea what he did or how he did it.

    New cats are still where they are at trying to act like they have a “career” on soundclick, myspace or a pizza hut parking lot trying to flip their beat cds – while people are still putting in work, same new cats that bought a program have no idea what music theory , midi or basic notation and somehow are a ‘producer’ go play in traffic with that simple ass shit…. Ski has been on and never fell off… next youll be saying Pete Rock or Tip aint got it rofl….
