When Cudi “dumbs” down his verses, he wants emphasis on the hook. For example, “My World”. Those lyrics are only a ladder to the infectious hook, which is why the hook is only a one liner. He want’s you to understand the message of the record.

Wale will flat out out rap the dude. I’m not huge on either but objectively that’s just reality. CuDi can’t rap/sing…but he can write some what well. He’s got a gift for catchy hooks. His first album only get’s props on it’s production for me (which was too dope). Both albums get a 3.5 Overall for career material (mixtapes & stray tracks) I find Wale to be the better artists (not just rapper). All that being said, this “beef” will go nowhere.

I honestly hope they just apologize to each other and the rest is history. I’m a fan of both, Wale’s album flopped though there was some decent content on it, lyric wise, the dude can tell a story and paint a picture quite well. Cudder’s just as dope, just got a different perspective he comes from, no reason for either of them to beef, it just shouldn’t happen, although its hard to say if that line Wale dropped was a shot at Cudi, or simply a small metaphorical reference. Either way a beef would just be stupid, c’mon hip hop’s been around for over 20 years now, true artists should be above this by now, regardless if its a foundation of hip hop or not.

Cudi was upset because Wale made a reference to something that happened in his life that was pivotal. Many of ya’ll are sayin’ that he should get over it, stfu, whatever— but that would be like someone making a reference to a point in your life when you acted an ass, and wanted to forget it.
