Hip Hop

After having this for a week or two, I can safely say that it’s one of the best Hip-Hop albums of 2010.
I already have it but I have to be totally honest and say that this album disappointed me. I’m saying it’s bad or wack I am just saying it’s more like pretty good. If you’re going to name your album “Album of the Year” you better make sure it’s really DOPE. I’m sorry but there is some real good stuff on this album but there is some real average stuff also.
i wus just listenin to the stream on anotha site. this album goes HARD
@rezo u should re-listen to the album to understand why he’s callin it album of the year. it’s a play on words, not the obvious ”best album this year hands down”. obviously u aint really listenin like most hip hop fans…
Oh and I should add that Black Milk’s rapping has gotten much better.
This album is doooooooooope!!!
OK, it’s named “Album of the Year” because it is a wrap up of his past year, not the BEST album of the year. That being said, the album is VERY solid. Some tracks are so dope, that they make up for some other lackluster tracks. Welcome (Gotta Go) makes up for Oh Girl….you get what I’m saying. Anyways, very solid effort froma dope MC/Producer.
i wouldnt say its album of the year, but its in my top 5. really dope work.
where’s the album stream??
nevermind, SLOWWW computer
is royce gonna be present at the DEtroit show?
What store will this be sold at? I imagine most places won’t get more than 1 copy.
@red if you’re not sure about which stores will have it you can get it directly from his website blackmilk.biz
actually this is The Album Of The Year. Its da best hip-hop music out. nd if u dont think so den kill yourself man 4real
I agree, besides eminem, this is easily the album of the year. The only albums I give a nod to are B.o.B., Drake, Eminem, and Black Milk, oh and Reflection Eternal. DOPE hiphop.
Got this album last night. Gave it a listen (probably need to give it a few more). My first impression is that Black has def gotten better @ rappin. However, the production seems to be a rehash of Tronic which, aside from Long Story Short, Hold It Down, RePPin For U & The Matrix, didn’t have too much replay value. More somewhat irritating drum patterns and so-so horn sections. No disrespect, Black. I still fuxwichu. Popular Demand still bangs regularly!
Some of you dudes are nuts!
The Roots >>>>> This
This might be the first album I buy off of iTunes
Got it last night @ 12am. Love it. Black Milk does his thing.

Are you saying “Welcome (Gotta Go)” Is lackluster? Easily the best track on the album
His name annoys me. Black Milk? Wtf does that mean. >_>
365 WAS THE HARDEST TRACK….
GOOD WAY TO START THE ALBUM!!

youre missing big boi. drop B.o.B that turned into some popish shit
Love the album. Been down with Black since ‘Sound of the City’. Trying to figure which is his best produced LP. ‘Tronic’ was sonically incredible, but my personal fav is ‘The Set Up’ with Fat Ray. Simply put, if you don’t have the catalog, you need get em all. This is pure Hip Hop music.
Right now, I got this running neck and neck with Tronic. I think I’m gonna end up liking AOTY more though in the long run.
INSANE that anyone could find the audacity to say something bad about this album. Solid all the way through. Black Milk just catapulted his way into my current favorite emcee. Incredible album.
I’ve been digging album of the year a lot, it would definitely be right up there for me as far as best albums this year. However I still can’t go past The Roots – “How I Got Over” and Freeway & Jake One – “The Stimulus Package”. Sure I enjoyed the Drake album, and Eminem’s album was OK, but there’s no way I would put them above The Roots, Freeway & Jake Uno, or Black Milk for that matter.
Black Milk – AOTY is easily on the top 3 albums of 2010 for me. His music doesn’t age… shit hits hard as the first time hearing it, from Sound of the City to AOTY. Dude has continued to excel as a producer and MC.
“Are you saying “Welcome (Gotta Go)” Is lackluster? Easily the best track on the album”
If you read more clearly, he said “Welcome (Gotta Go) makes up for Oh Girl”, meaning he thinks Oh Girl is lackluster and Welcome (Gotta Go) is good.
As for the album, I like it. Couple of songs I don’t care much for, but overall, I think Black Milk is pretty dope and had some really hot songs on here.
THIS IS REALLY REALLY TREALLY GOOD
My God this dope!
