thats lame.. what happening to making music together, not splicing together everyones part. but hey thats how it goes now days. now itd be funny if they met and hated each other
You can’t hate on people for “splicing” music. There are so many factors, like busy schedules, tours, etc, that make it hard for artists to come together to record. That’s just how it is. If the music is good though, the connection happens spiritually when it’s heard and recorded; so I still think it’s all good and sincere. That still is kinda bizarre that they had never met AT ALL though, or even spoke on the phone or via Skype, even after having the song go Top 5 on the Billboard 100. Either way though, I’ve been looking forward to seeing them perform this together live. The BET Awards performance was quasi-disappointing to me due to Keyshia Cole. I love Keyshia, but I wasn’t feeling her filling in for Hayley . They should have just left Hayley’s vocals on the record in the background.
It looks like their doing Part 1, which is what i was hoping Part 1 is the one most are familiar with, and it makes more sense. Maybe they’ll transition over into Part 2 after Part 1 for Em’s verse if they wanted to do it like that. It should be dope either way…
i agree with @wordtobigbird. sorry hannah. i see what your saying. and i guess its acceptable for pop sensations. but theres no room for that in hiphop. but what do i no? im just a purist.
…are you serious? they have never met? they didn’t even meet to celebrate the success of their song? Wow…the age we live in…2 people can make millions off a song they did together but, they don’t have to meet once throughout the whole process. insanity…
@drewbot Please tell me what is wrong with pop music? The track is dope. Stop wasting time with putting things in genres and either like the music or don’t. At the very least, don’t waste time leaving a comment like that.
And I would marry Hayley, btw. Plus, she’s got pipes.
to niggas saying its whack they did a song and never met….dead ass how you think your favorite underground artists collab? They don’t use their millions of dollars to fly out to Hawaii and record, they do it in their own studio and email the files, you ignorant fucks. “No room for that in hip-hop”? Then there isn’t any hip-hop.
Its not wack…its just must be akward lolz, like the vibe when there on stage together wont be as strong since theyve only seen eachother for a half a second lol :x.
I almost think, if they had time, they should have spent the day together, just to get more acquainted and what not. This may sound corny or whatever, but just to connect on a spiritual level. I think that would increase the positive energy to their performance.
Most of the artists/producers collabing nowadays aren’t in the studio together. I’ll admit it’s weird that they had not met at all but they’ve met now so we can all sleep easy, lol.
thats really week. both these artist are ass for being too good to call one another up and get on a plane to kick it. after they made all that money together they should of popped a bottle
