the production is amazing… but i could hardly listen to it because of the voice quality. maybe it goes with the whole “radio” theme of the mixtape but it sounds pretty shitty. other than that the project was pretty decent

Damn Charles is off his rocker. His three “Albums” are some of my favorite albums ever but some of his other music is just ridiculous. I like his individuality but on this project he just sounds like he freestyles every verse off the dome in one take. I understand he’s good at freestyling but when his songs sound like that its annoying.

Dude is aurally painting on a canvas with not just his words but his SOUND – he mixes down EVERYTHING in ProTools, he just adds mad FX to make it sound like more of a world rather than just am album. He IS artist, in the truest sense of the word. Money is most CERTAINLY not the issue here, but it does crack me up how people complain over FREE shit.
@Paiva: I just left the studio with him two days ago where we finished the last track of this project…so umm…don’t know where you got that info. Some of the beats may be older, but the whole project was compiled, written and rhymed to earlier this week. CH is just a work-a-holic and type focused.

I heavily co-sign H2 and NKR but lol at the same time… people can’t understand that the sound IS just a part of the song… everyone thinks that it should be the standard CDQ shit for every song… I used to think this too and get pissed at CH in the past, but then I just listened and listened and listened until I realized that the sound is part of the art… a song have to sound how the artist wants it to sound… sometimes the sound can “talk” like the lyrics it tells a story too… the industry has tried to kill the art of mixing and mastering creatively making us call bad quality everything that isn’t loud and clear…
Just listen to “an angel’s anneurism” if that song had the mainstream sound yall feening for it wouldn’t work…
Moral of the story, DON’T HATE/UNDERSTIMATE LO-FI SOUND. It has a purpose, and LISTEN to the music, embrace it, don’t just let it hit your eardrums… you’d understand what we talking about if you do…
