@ 1977 – from a mainstream perspective, Ross is grindin, but there is plenty of skippable throwaways he’s putting out. I’d ssay Freddie Gibbs is mos def one of the most consistent right now. 95% of the music he’s putting out is quality too. Gibbs flow is ridiculous on the Gotham Green & Outasight joints. Str8 Killa (+ No Filla) was solid for the most part. Fuck quantity. And J.Cole is just a corndog, college grad trying to talk tough with cheesy punchlines. He’s like Will Smith only he curses and takes himself very seriously.
