After months of delays, it looks like 24 Hour Karate School is finally gonna see the light of day on September 21st. A new site was launched to support the release and that’s where I noticed a change in the tracklist; compared to the previously shown one. The main issue being that Mos Def seems to have been completely taken off the project (even Prowler 2). I’ve gotta be honest… can’t say I’m too excited about the release; as I’ve already heard over half the 11 tracks. *shrugs…

they were thinking about money instead of buzz. this could’ve been an epic thing like how everyone was waiting for that so far gone mixtape to drop and had everyone awake at crazy hours of the night/early morning. i’m not as interested in it anymore, imo… and co-sign, a lot of the tracks were already leaked. if they were smart, they would’ve added more than just the only 11 tracks to compensate for already heard material.

Ski said that he couldn’t clear Mos Def thru the label so blame that shit on the record labels not Ski. If there’s only 11 tracks though he should have made them all unleaked tracks. This is like Curren$y’s Pilot Talk all over again. Not that it wasnt a good album, just that almost all of the tracks had been leaked.
I am probably going to cop solely on that fact that Ski is dope and gives out hella free shit for us to listen to.

That’s the thing though….he never really gave us anything free, every track that leaked was leaked unintentionally or ripped from their videos. Even though it was Mos’ label’s fault, he was a main player in this album. If they put it out for free like they originally planned it could’ve been bigger (mixtapes as of late have opened a lot of doors for artist and producers the past 3 years), but I feel like they got greedy.
Is it just me or is the album art (The red part) EXACTLY like curren$y’s album art (Tracklist and what not) for Pilot Talk but red ? No hate i dig Ski beat’s but this looks a little more like Pilot Talk pt 2 for the most part. If it is a free release I would say it’s gonna be one of the more solid freebee’s as of late
