  3. WOW. To be fair to Nas, I saw him with Damian on Friday and he did these same long pauses in every song he did. He also was wearing the same white shirt and shorts. I’ve seen Nas 2 other times where not only did he do Verbal Intercourse and remembered the words, but he also did Live at the BBQ and Eye for an Eye. Weird…

  9. I saw Nas in Brooklyn this summer. He did long pauses there too. I don’t think he forgets his lyrics, he just gets short of breath.

  12. What are ya talking about? Nas was doing what Wu-Tang and every NY MC does: Pauses so that the crew/audience can say the rhymes.

    Wu-Tang does this at every show. I can’t remember the last time I heard them do an entire verse without taking pauses so that the hypeman/crew/audience will fill the gaps.

  16. I dont know what video your watching but nas went through this verse very nicely. He didn’t forget his rhymes unlike Lupe Fiasco (tribe lyrics), Julez Santana (Naughty By Nature). Nas Rae and Ghostface killed it.

  18. oh, BTW, i saw nas a few times, n he does pause a lil too much for my likin too… like, the pauses are cool, but nas does it for like half his lyrics, LOL… whatever.. he was still nice live when i saw him at Stony Brook… smaller shows are always better… altho wutang destroys RTB every year!
