To add, I was going to buy my usual MMA magazine stack at the Barnes & Noble in town and passed the XXL and Source, which I haven’t bought in forever, but used to have subscriptions to both. On the Source it said, “beef era gone” or something like that, and I read the article. It was good.
I really think Jay and Nas was the last great battle in hip-hop. There have been cool diss joints since then but not like that. I think people are over it and just wanna hear good music. The world, economy, everything is fucked up. People are broke. No one cares about beef now, and just wanna hear good music.
I think 2010 has been a great year for hip-hop and can’t wait for a ton of releases through the end of the year!
