My favorite skater and favorite rapper collaborated for this Nike SB commercial.
Nike SB is proud to announce the global launch of the Zoom Paul Rodriguez 4 on 8/21/2010. This year we brought Paul to New York to hit the streets and spend time in the studio with one of his idols, hip-hop legend NAS. The result is a 60-second commercial, directed by Nike SB’s own Jon Humphries, following Paul’s journey through iconic New York City skate spots, accompanied by music and a voiceover from Nas. – Nike

nice.
they shouldve replaced Nas with Common…Common was born to be a commercial inspirational speaker
This commercial is dope! Nike, Nas and P-Rod EPIC!
@NYC/Brooklyn…obviously Common was not an option or choice. Paul wanted to work with his idol NaS and not anyone else..ok HATER! NaS was born to write inspiration and has done so for almost 20 years!
sick

SHUTUP Nas is my favorite emcee of all time and Common is my 3rd favorite emcee (Q-Tip is #2)…we’re talking about commercials, aint nobody hating..
..go to bed
btw Common has been in the game longer than Nas
Why does Nike SB’s make me smile so damn much???? :)
^^ you have a male foot fetish
@NYC/Brooklyn: Who gives a shit about Common and how long he has been in the game…this is about NaS and Paul’s commercial so you shut the fuck up and go to bed. I don’t care if NaS is your favorite rmcee or if Common is your 3rd favorite. You are a hater regardeless because your statement was meant to diss NaS and praise Common for his inspirational voice in commercials so stop trying to save face bitch and hop off! As I stated previously Common was not even thought about for this commercial…Paul wanted NaS so pls STFU again! Nice commercial by the way!
well damn that nigga just ethered your shit lmfao & I fucks with common he got some classic albums but he fell off & he can’t fuck with Nas’ catalog in other words Illmatic shits on 99.9 of commons career
Nasir!!!!! that inspirational ish
@please STFU: the fact that you took my comment so personally is a shame…who the hell disses Nas over a commercial? i never said Nas’s voice sucked or that this commercial was horrible because of Nas…all i said was he should be replaced by Common because Common wouldve been better (thats my opinion)..have you seen those Gatorade commercial with Common talking in the background?? that shit got me drinkin Gatorade all day..anyway just because i said replace Nas with Common doesnt mean Nas was wack…so try not to get so offended by someone else’s opinion..it makes you look like a bitch..
..@BKSOWN you’re crazy…Illmatic = Resurrection + Be
Fact:
People who don’t appreciate Nas are not fans of rap.
Opinion:
Nas is the GOAT
That switch back tail was huge.
@NYC/Brookly…well you really seem to be the only one hating and trying to claim Nas as your favorite emcee but yet you state “Nas’ Illmatic equals Common’s Resurrection + Be” now that is comical considering “Be” came out an entire decade after Illmatic and “Resurrection” was not even on the same lyrical playing field as Illmatic. So because Common’s Gatorade commercials had your weak ass drinking Gatorade all day means that Nas should be replaced in a commercial that he was chosen to be a part of by Nike and P-Rod due to your weak ass excuse for wanting to drink that sugar water called Gatorade…LOL at you being SEDUCED by Common’s voice to the point he had your punk ass drinking sugar water all day! By the way I’m not offended by your opinion but the fact according to you Common seducing you into drinking Gatorad all day makes you look like the real BITCH!
History.
weoutbiiitch and treeblower know wassup! it’s good to know that i’m not the only skateboarder that visits this site. i’d just like to add that this vid was nice and that backnoseblunt was the fuckin shit
@NYC/Brooklyn …. Nah bra, Illmatic is at that level of hip hop album only reached by a few. You can’t add albums together and say there you go, that’s as good as Illmatic.
I second Reds comment, Nas is the GOAT.
damn you just got spannnked
who the fuckk is peas?
^im pretty sure it’s that crooklyn_p/phalary42 chick from those crappy interviews
I know Paul personally and he has narrating because that’s his favorite rapper…. Valley Life
i hate when ppl talk shit about Common. Yeah, nothing he made touches Illmatic but few hip hop albums period touch it. LWFC, Resurrection and Be are all classics along with a few other good albums
You guys are retarded if you think Nas has a better catalog than Common. Illmatic is definitely better than anything Common and mostly any other MC has done. But the rest of Nas’ catalog doesn’t hold a torch to Common’s. This is coming from a fan of both.

So what do you like better: Electric Circus or Nastradamus?
And I ask that, because although they’re 2 completely different emcees, I say that their catalog is about even. Common may be more consistent with his music. Nas, though, he set the bar so high with Illmatic, I think the fans cop a Nas record regardless if it’s horrible or not, so they can compare his releases to Illmatic. At least some songs on Nastradamus wasn’t completely garbage, even the bootleg stuff…but Electric Circus completely SUCKS, except for that song with Mary J.
Electric Circus was easily better than Nastradamus. I love NaS but that album was horrible. The only reason it was released was due to records leaking. So to Nas’ credit, it’s not even a real album from him. At least with Common you had an album that was trying to go somewhere but ultimately came short. It had it’s great moments. “Come Close” is a classic. There is absolutely zero replay value on Nastradamus.
