QuESt – 96 Nissan Altima Music

And the entire comments board hoopla when he dropped his free tape last July “Broken Headphones”. People kept calling it “So Far Gone” and him trying to be Drake just cuz the songs had melodies and what not; like rap songs didn’t have melodic hook and at times, minimalist production before Drake…

  28. M.Hannah would know. Dudes dream job is cradling Drake’s nuts.

  29. Reads comments…. Damn shame SmH

  30. oh, allright. didn’t know about all that comparison stuff. the homie’s stuff’s cool, but i dunno. it’s not like i’m trying to cut anyone down or anything, but he reminds me of a lot of newcomers these days. you know: lyrically, style wise, the way he dresses, choice of beats. it’s like him, charles hamilton, j cole, pill, pac div, gibbs, cool kids, big sean. dom kennedy, etc. it’s not like all these guys sound exactly the same to me; i mean they’re aesthetically so similar. i want to see an artist that stands out; that takes risks. i dunno. just my opinion.

  31. Straight dopeness. Real shit. And fuck all these stupid ass comparisons..

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

he sounds NOTHING like big sean, dom kennedy, charles hamilton, j cole, pill (especially Pill wit his southern dialect) pac div, gibbs, or the cool kids. and if you’re saying he LOOKS like them…my nigga, EVERY rapper in the 90s rocked the same gear…dumbshit…this nigga is dope as fuck…stop the hate…

  33. @crackadon

I mean, that’s always been the trend in rap music though man. Not everyone is the SAME, but the candor of thoughts, missions and ambitions are generally similar for the generation we are a part of. The musicians/artist reflect the sentiments of the generation at that moment of the listeners and themselves. It was actually the same in the 90s and stuff too.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing. It’s almost something that inevitably happens by default. As far as risks are concerned, this “newer” sound from Cudi or Drake and others alike IS (Or was) a risk in the recent years. That whole sound was different, and got ridiculed (still does at times) when it was first presented. It’s only recently becoming less-taboo and okay.

  34. ^U serious with that Meka-esque nonsense and such and what not? You really think there is that much depth and complexity going into this rap shit? These aren’t classical or operatic composers here.

Crackadon, U concerned with rappers looks & what they wear? As far as the MCs you mention, the biggest common factor they share is their age. And Freddie Gibbs is nothing like the rest of the dudes you mention. QuESt has a unorthodox flow, but he’s talented.

  35. “boy you ugly as fuck! i wouldnt pass him the blunt wit them nigga lips.” lmbo!

But man there so many haters this dude can spit, fuck what you guys say.. Dude is sick.

  36. yea this nigga tryin to jack spittas style damn not another one of those guys

  37. did you guys read what i said “it’s not like all these guys sound exactly the same to me” don’t get so deffensive everybody, it’s only MY opinion. did you notice i didn’t mention cudi or drake? they sonically have taken chances (poppy or not) and how are you gonna tell me the 90′s was the same case when there were cats like Busta Rhymes, Craig Mack, Ol Dirty, Nas, KRS, etc. they weren’t all following each other. and im not tripping on what people choose to wear; it just bugs me when everyone looks the same. that’s just me. if you like the current trends in hip-hop, that’s cool. do you. i’m just speaking my mind

  38. Dude Much Respect You Are Always Dope, Slut Time!
