So with a few days before the first annual (2)Dope BBQ, I figure it’s time to let more cats out of the bag. If you’ve followed the past couple weeks, you’d know that the event will be Saturday (August 14th) in New York, and that it will benefit the charity organization Edeyo. Patrons will be asked to provide either a new or gently used backpack, clothing, new, unopened school supplies totaling $10, or a $10 cash donation. All donated items will be used to provide school supplies to children still affected by the tragic January earthquake that devastated Haiti.
In other words, the only way you’re getting in is if you donate something. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
But those who do come to the party and donate will be treated in kind to free food and liquor (special dopehouse-inspired drinks courtesy of the likes of Pool Vodka, Guru Energy Drink and Chairman’s Reserve Rum and more will be on the menu), live music courtesy of myself and DJ Urkelbot, a chance to win free gifts and more. Did I also mention that the (2)Dope BBQ will be hosted by the NMC‘s own Miss Info?
